Waxing! Urgent help!!!

Hey friends, I am in need of urgent help.
I dont really noe how to xplain this properly but I ll try my best.
So yesterday, me and my friend went to a salon. She got her upper lips waxed. While the lady was doing it I saw her wax the parts whr there was noe hair. Any how after, she put baby oil on and we left. When we were outside, I saw some bits of her skin was peeled of, on one side of the upper lip. Anyhow when we reached home it was really red. By night time her upper lips looked as him they were swallon and puffy.
Anyways, so the next morning when I saw her, I litterly had a heart attack. I didnt noe wht to say to her. Her upper lips looked as if they were burned. It was really a bad sight, her upper lips were red, brown, and what not. It looked really painful. Now she has trouble tlking, eating, etc.
The case now is that we have lot of parties coming up by the end of this week and she doesnt want to go like that. + she cnt even put makeup to cover it cuz it wont wrk it is really really bad. Honestly, I feel so bad, and I swear I am never going to go to that salon again.
I am scared because last time the same thing happened to my sister but it wasnt that bad, and after the scar was gone it left black marks. And it took a month or 2 for the scars to go away.
Can any1 of you please help me and give me any ideas of wht i cld do to help her. Are there any natural remedies or some home product which we cld use because I am sure this thing wont go away this easily.
Currently she is using a medical cream but its not doing any good.
Please if you can help me in any sort, do so I would be really really thankful to all of you.
Sumiyya.

Ask her to apply aloe vera gel (that's been kept in the fridge) as well as a topical antibiotic cream called "Bactroban" ask her to stay away from facewash. toners and astringents for now.. and apply rosewater several times a day to the affected area to calm the skin.

Bactroban would make it heal faster..

Re: Waxing! Urgent help!!!

Gina, is aloe vera gel available in pakistan?

How awful, hopefully it should calm down soon in a few days.

Re: Waxing! Urgent help!!!

Hope she gets better soon, thats so scary!
Did she go back to the salon to show them what happened, or at least call to complain?

Re: Waxing! Urgent help!!!

Gina, can you please give the name of aloe vera gel?

Re: Waxing! Urgent help!!!

well you probably can’t get this in Pak but for anyone else with the same problem, I’d recommend Witch Hazel or a Witch Hazel based skin treatment gel such as this:
Witch Doctor Skin Treatment Gel

Aloe is great for moisturising, calming down skin after hair removal etc, so definitely use it.

But when the skin is damaged in this way, witch hazel will help it heal faster.
