Waxing the face...dont try this at home

Yesterday I did something I dont ever plan on doing again. I tried to wax certain parts of my face, and the end result is horrible. I dont know if this is cause I just have sensitive skin there or what.

Anyway, my face was fine that day when I did it, but the next day(today) I look like a pepperoni pizza face. I dont even want to step outside. cwy.

How do I get rid of the acne?? I’ve never been faced with this dilemma before. Looked up home remedies on acne. They seemed to suggest salt and water, or toothpaste overnight.

Any suggestions? I need helpppppppp!!! Thanks in advance.

Munni, first of all its not acne its just temporary skin irritation. DO NOT use toothpaste it will leave you with dark spot(s) wherever you put it, because you have sensitive skin.

Try these methods:
1. Wash your face with equal parts of honey and milk, leave it on for 15 minutes than wash it off, unless it burns than remove it.
2. Use oil Olay cream
3. Apply linseed oil
4. Put some ice in washcloth and put it on the area that has the skin irritation

That’s why before using wax and such you have to test it out first. Hope it helps.

what does wax do ?

from one werewolf to another, trust me on this just stay away from it.

Women  they can peel their skin to a bleeding pulp yet will be scared of a lil’ roach.

Threading has the same effect on ma skin by the time it gets back to normal its time to have threading done again :(

Yikes, I am in the wrong place. This is the hairy women’s corner.

 buddy every female has facial hair ya even blondes, the goodie is that because of the colour you dont easily notice the hair very often.

Munni, there must be something wrong you have done. Was the wax too hot? Well I know that normaly waxing the face can cause a bit of redness but not to such extend. I would recommend try going to a expert for tips on proper waxing before trying at home the next time.

stupid browser posted twice.

Is there even a moderator in the family section?

belle, thank you, I am going to try that today. Also thinking of getting some over the counter stuff, dunno whats good though.

Maniac, wax acts like a glue. It sticks to the hair and then you pull it off. shudder It hurts. No more waxing for me.

CocoNut, I will NOT be trying that again. Roaches, eeeekkkk!

fantastic1, what do you use then? Threading, if done wrong, can leave cuts on your face, but is a decent alternative. Ouch.

StrayCatsStrut, we all have hair. Some more than others. Desi people I find are more visibly hairy than others, or so I have noticed.

SADI, I used Nads, which doesnt require heating. Tried it on my arm, and it worked fine, no blemishes. Just my face it wreaked havoc on. grin

Lily and SADI, thank you. smile

Lily..... agree. I'll change my statement. 'This is the EXCESSIVELY hairy women's corner'

Make a mask with honey and egg white (egg yolk if u have
dry skin). It's supposed to sooth the skin.
Leave it on for about 10-15 mins.

I think u can do this every day. Till the prob is gone
and like once a week if u like the results.

:)

Lily, I am perfectly strait and I am not surrounded by excessively hairy females. Speak for yourself and don’t assume that every female has a hairy problem.

As for finding a hairless woman in this thread is concerned, I doubt if i’ll get lucky here but thanks anyway for wishing me

Have fun shaving
cheers~

hmm......Don't do or put anythin' on your face...jus wash it with COLD water....then rub a generous amount of Aloe on your face, it has soothing and healing properties. U can use it all day 'n as much as u want..:).....it'll certainly help ya :)..Good luck!!....

'n don't wax your face next time :D

doesnt it hurt..waxing on ur face

dont they hav special wax for face?!? wesay i never tried waxin or threadin on face.... :)

:( its an allergic reaction or u have ultra sensititve skin - like me :(

either way - dont use that wax again - its obviously not good for your skin. try a natural wax. ( if you dare again)

I wish I'd never started waxing my face. its horrible :(

i'd just use plain water to wash it and if it doesnt get better = go and see your doc.

Hi Munni.
Now an advice from beauty expert.YEP ME :).
Your skin need to be tearted wtih wax which has no honey or sugar in it. Try strip less:) wax next time ( No musline strip needed WAX) Sally hansens WAX is good. Now come to your lil watery blister on your face. FIRST ! DO NOT BURST THEM! PLS DO NOT ...Only thing which gonna calm it down is NOXEMA face wash and cream. Please go to drug store and get it for yourself. It will go away in 3 days.
Keep in touch if you have any more questions.
Bye,
Farhina.
