Hi guys,im quite new to the site..but i need to know something.
wat is better for hair removal…waxing or epilators??
Re: waxing or epilators??
waxing all the way.
DON'T use epilators. They cause more ingrown hair. I'm speaking from experience.
After waxing, from the next day, every day, EVERY SINGLE DAY, make sure you exfoliate [best choice is a dry towel scrubbed all over after taking a shower... or dry body brushing with a brush with natural bristles]
I have had soo many problems with ingrown hair and I just wish I knew about these tips before.
imo sugaring (with just the sugary 'dough' that u stretch on and pull off - without using cloth strips) works best, waxing works good too, epilators work ok but i'd use them as only as a last resort like if i was traveling and didnt have access to a salon or something
Re: waxing or epilators??
hmm..but do u think that if i exfoliate every day after using the epilator,it would be okay??coz i just cant wait for the hair to grow a bit n them get em waxed :(
really stuck, dnt know wat to do?? :(
Re: waxing or epilators??
.. i agree with the guppies above- its Waxing
!!!;)… I only epilate my underarms!!!![]()
Re: waxing or epilators??
^ I guess u should be fine if ur exfoliating a lot while epilating.
But please remember, you must exfoliate your body EVERY day. I went to a waxing lady at the Hyatt and she told me how important it is... especially for your bikini line, legs, any part of the body that brushes against your clothes a lot.
:k:.. Saratem well done sweets ur absolutely ritto!!!![]()
Re: waxing or epilators??

Re: waxing or epilators??
hahahha.....princess its the only way to lift those small ingrowing hairs plus u rid ur skin of the impurities plus u'll have lovely soft and smooth skin after waxing!! Make sure u moisturize hunny after waxing and deffo after exfoliation as it takes the moistness out of ur skin!!! Good luck sweets!!!;)

How is that made? isnt it too messy to do with hands?
How is that made? isnt it too messy to do with hands?
sugar, a veeery tiny amt of water and lemon juice
it isnt messy if u get it professionally done
works better than waxing at least in my experience, sumtimes waxing breaks the real tiny hair, sugaring pulls it all out by the root
Re: waxing or epilators??
hmm.. thanks!

Re: waxing or epilators??

Exfoliating every day is not that hard and doesn't take that long either. I use a natural bristle body brush and brush my body with it without wetting it... just brush it dry on your dry body. Takes 10 minutes at the most. Sometimes I get away with doing it in 5.
If you can't do this for some reason, after showering * take a dry towel and scrub yourself with it. This works as an exfoliator and is hygienic as well... I never use those wet loofahs or wet sponges since they cna sit around in the bathroom and collect germs.*
Re: waxing or epilators??
Interesting, i needed this thread a few years ago :k: i went through a lot coz i didnt know about exfoliating, only recently i discovered wat i should be doing.
