Maybe bake some chicken stuffed croissants
Dessert:
Choc cheesecake
What can i add? Requirement is that it shud be doable in one day with baby on hand

I think the main course looks good enough .. why not add a salad and some mint chutney ?
and maybe if you can do Seekh kabab or Tikka's instead of the croissant? that would gel well with the rest of the menu and act as your starter too .. seekh kababs are pretty easy to do ... so are tikka's , which ever you choose ..

Can you please post the recipes for the pasta and croissants. all of it sounds good and a chutney would complete it.

What's missing? Hmmmm. Well, all of those dishes involve meat. So maybe consider a veggie dish.

I guess because ami was like the the super star chef of the entire khandaan and community and now everyone expects I learned from her to be the best. I'm getting there, slowly :)
I guess the pasta was pretty simple: 1. boil pasta with some salt, drain, spray on some oil to prevent sticking.
2. marinate small pieces of chicken with the usual salt, black pepper, garlic salt, paprika, sweet bbq sauce, hari mirch. shallow fry. Then, in a separate pan, take some chicken stock, cook til very little remains, add a bunch of half and half or just cream (depending on how much you care about fat content) and butter. Boil, add the boiled pasta and chicken. Cook to whatever consistency you like. Serve hot.
As far as the croissants, I was trying to do a modified roll. Basically marinated very small chicken pieces with sugar, salt, pepper etc. Baked it. Looking back now, I would have also shredded it and maybe added some shredded cheese to make it stick. Then take the pillsbury croissant dough, add the chicken, roll and bake :)
