Water Filtration system

I was doing some field research (i.e., a 15 minute trip to Target :halo: ) for water filters..
The cheapest and easiest (not convenient) ones look to be the jugs which cost between 20-30$..

Then theres the faucet mounting ones that are a little bit higher priced…

I’ve seen others for $100+ but I’m nto sure what those are and didnt look at them since they’re out of my range..

I’m leaning towards the faucet one…so my question is, are those easy to install and uninstall? They seem very convenient to use, once installed…Any cons about them I should know about? I’m looking for something that will be convenient and when we move, I can take it with me and will easily install/uninstall.

Bump.

Re: Water Filtration system

Here in the UK,I have a water softener fitted in my kitchen because the water is really hard and I hate cleaning limescale.
Now,because you shouldn't drink softened water I have had a Brita filtered water tap fitted too.It has three channels...one for soft water...one for hard, and the third for drinking water. The cartridge usually lasts around three months.
At least everything is limescale free, and the drinking water is crystal clear :):
AFAIK,if/when we move,we can take it out and just fit an ordinary tap.The cartridge is dead easy to change too.It works out a lot cheaper than bottled water.
The plumber took a couple of hours to fit,and it doesn't take up that much space in the sink either.I'll be taking my water softener too...it was maha expensive.

HTH..
