Different people have different theories about drinking water along with the meal. Some say don’t drink right before or right after but only during. Some say drink before & after not between … so on & so forth.
What in you opinion is the right way of going about it?

Research indicates water before meals decreases food intake (good for overweight folks lookin to shape up)
In between and after meal is better for digestion and decreasing acidity in the stomach.
I have heard a hadith according to which "Drinking water before a meal is like gold, drinking water during a meal is like silver and drinking water after the meal is like ermmmm forgot :( but not something good.
When its before having your meal, one wud eat less than usual..... as for drinking water after a meal, ive heard it bulges out your tummy, better avoid it unless the food is too spicy :)
How about drinking whenever youre thirsty, or want to wash down something?:)
Id think its simple as that, rather than based on ill-advised 'medical' suggestions or religious edicts. Everyone has their own unique way of doing it. Nothing confusing to it...at least thats what I believe. Heck its just water!
i need atleast 4-5 big glasses of water to make my meal complete. i havent paid special attention to the timing. i guess i just drink whenever my mouth itches for some h2whooo. although it is very relaxing to drink an ice cold glass of water after a filling meal, it probably isnt very healthy.
I have heard drinking water before the meal, apart from breakfast.
Drinking water before the meal (best),
1) good to reduce wait.
2) Cleans the food pipe & washes the stomach before the food goes it.
3) Water is in ur stomach so helps stomach to digest (food becomes paste quickly & easily)

Drinking after meal is not recommended but only drink if u forget to drinking before or after meal.
Dont drink water before the breakfast. If u do have to then drink very slowly. The reason behind it that stomach is in rest state & pulls the water in quickly hurting food pipe & giving stomach pain.
But this is all I heard I dont know any medical implecations or theories - I dont know any authenticity of any of the statement written above.
For over weight ppl if they leave drinking water for atleast half n hr after meal tehy will reduce the weight some what, Seen the result on ppl. Havnt tried my self as already underweight abit ( 60 kg at 5'6')
