nothing speech..this guy with billions of dollars courruption,plenty of murders etc cannot deliver passionate speech...he cannot even look into the tv..content of speech was also very poor..proper roadmap to tackle terrorism should have been given...

The speech was totally for Security Forces, and the order for establishment of Cantonenment in Swat - Maybe this means a new Corps will be raised too .

COAS and all armed forces comes under the defense minister,, who in return is under the PM and the president.
there are some other agencies which are directly reporting to the PM or President...

Like him or loathe him Mr 'maajooda' Zia-ul-Haq spoke like a president. Musharraf was good too. Even GIK and Leghari were better than these guys at giving national addresses.
Don't remember ZAB much when he was PM as I was in my nappies back then but he spoke and looked like a statesman. I was not even born when Ayub was the president but my parents think very highly of him. He was impressive.

It may not be everything but being able to speak confidently and intelligently on camera is part and parcel of your job as leader. You cannot undermine that important fact.
Wonder why people never stop mentioning Winston Churchill for instance. The guy was great at uniting the whole nation with his powerful passionate speeches and still is an inspiration to many in Britain.
