Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has been shot at while travelling in his car to the National Stadum in Karachi on Wednesday. He is safe, though, and the nature or motive behind the attack is not yet known.
“Wasim was driving himself and the car next to him tried to jam his car to one side and opened fire. He did not get hit, he is now at the National Stadium, dealing with police formalities.” Arsalan Haider, Akram’s manager told ESPNcricinfo.

Basically from what i’ve known so far, and i havent known all the things ofcourse, his car crashed with some others and he jumped out of the car and so was the opposite person and after verbal clash the other person picked the gun and fired at his car. Not sure if anything else happened as well

****KARACHI: A suspect allegedly involved in the road rage shooting on former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram near National Stadium in Karachi, has reportedly been detained by police, investigators said on Friday.
Earlier in the week, Wasim he was on his way to the stadium when a car hit him from behind and he asked the errant driver to pull up so that he could check how much damage was done to his Mercedes.
However, the errant driver refused to stop and tried to run away, but Wasim chased him down and blocked the car’s passage. Subsequently, an armed man got down from the rear seat of the car and fired gunshots at Wasim’s Mercedes before fleeing. Read: Wasim escapes road rage shooting in Karachi
Subsequently, Wasim had registered a case at Bahdurabad police station on against three unidentified men.
On Friday, investigators said they had apprehended a suspect, Amir. Police said they were searching for his companions.
While officials did not officially confirm the arrest, police sources said that the suspect worked at a private security company where he is known as “Gullu Butt”. Sources added that the suspect had hidden the car, which made it difficult to trace the suspects. Further, the suspect, they claimed, had surrendered to the police.
