Wasim Akram : My XI

Wasim talking about greatest batsmen he bowled too. It will be very interesting to see what he says. First up is old man Sunil Gavaskar

Next comes Desmond Haynes.

Re: Wasim Akram : My XI

Both choices are marvellous.

Re: Wasim Akram : My XI

Gavaskar had the most compact defence of any batsman, one of the best test openers of all time.

If Dravid was The Wall, Gavaskar was like the Great Wall of China for his team

It took a really really special ball to remove Sunil, such immaculate was his defence

Re: Wasim Akram : My XI

I am not sure why he preferred Haynes over Greenidge. May be because he did not played a lot against Greenidge. Other good openers in his era were Mark Taylor and Graham Gooch
