[font=Courier New]A report has appeared that people are surprised over the mysterious silence of all quarters on the beating of a PIA passenger by son of law minister. mair son of Federal Law Minister and custodian of Law Wasi Zafar beats and severely injured a PIA passenger Mujeeb Khan at Karachi airport in presence of the Minister, airport security, thousands of passengers . The fault of PIA passenger was he objected to son of Minister passing through the reporting counter without usual security check which infuriated the son of Minister. The bleeding passenger tried to file a report but it was not registered. The airport police chief said the injured passenger did not report the matter. He did not feel shame, as perhaps he does have his own children, that matter was police cognizable and he himself should had taken note of it as the law says. The initial reports stated the President and the Prime Minister having taken note of were awaiting return of Law Minister. But later reports confirmed that there was complete mysterious silence on all sectors on this matter. The Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Senator Tariq Azeem once said that Overseas Pakistanis Foundation did not do any good for Pakistanis working abroad because there was no representation of Pakistani working abroad in the O.P.F. He said since he himself is an Overseas Pakistani now the things would change. On this incident talking with a newspaper he said the matter is serious, law is equal for all and President and Prime Minister have taken note of this incident. Now he has backed tracked from his own statement that he did not say so but the concerned newspaper misquoted him. He only said that President and Prime Minister must have read this incident. The injured is a Pakistani working abroad. Now those who are surprised over this silence and those who had attached high hopes on initial reports that President and Prime Minister will handle the matter both appear to be unrealistic if not fools. Both do not know nothing ever will happen on such incidents by sons of rulers. The rulers can never take a real serious note of such incidents, corruptions, beating of policeman for fault of asking blind car windows etc because if once such an example is created it would for ever block the future sons and grand sons of their right of injuring passengers at airports. This can be understood from example of Imtiaz Shaikh and Arbab Rahim of Sindh. Arbas Rahim CM accused Sheikh Imtiaz of allotting illegally two prime plots in heart of Karachi to his servant on nominal price near Bundoo Khan Kabab. In return Sh. Imtiaz accused Arbab. Allegation over counter allegation started. Shaikh Imtiaz had to leave his post as Minister. Their battle is still going on but on different false subjects just to fool the public and gain political score over each other. Arbab has not done any remotest effort about two plots allotted on which battle started. Arbab knows well if he seriously registered a case and recovered the plots, Imtiaz will then seriously register case against what Arbab family has gained in shape of occupying state land in their home towns. No one will really act because if once Shaikh or Arbab did this, then in future no plot near any Bundo Khan Kaba anywhere in Pakistan could be allotted to any servant of elite. If action is taken today against son of Wasi Zafar, then how the grand son of Wasi Zafar or son of next Law Minister would beat a passenger. General Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz do not like such incidents. They both are thorough gentlemen but they cannot think of making any Wasi Zafar angry knowing well these Wasis are the glues due to which their own chairs are strong which otherwise are only as strong as that of “chairman Buntto’s famous chair of 1977”.
