What type of shoes can be washed in the washing machine? you reckon the ordinary joggers and trainers will survive the bash:konfused:

yeh trainers are generally fine. my mum used to do it but i don't.
hubby has some casual shoes to wear with jeans that are kind of like trainers (except not suitable for sport). largely white leather with some taupe suede. anyway, we went to the winter wonderland in hyde park during xmas and they got covered in mud which dried. i used a combination of persil and the oxy powder for whites with a sponge and cleaned them up. they looked so clean after and not all battered like they do from the machine.

YES, as a matter of fact i washed my running shoes and hiking boots which were badly soiled in an outdoor trip.
first i washed with jet water and got rid of the excess dirt and mud. after that i washed them in the washer and finally dried in the dryer. they came out perfectly fine. used a lil fabric softener and dryer freshner sheets. they smells so good :)
i had jumped into stagnant water which had outgrown algae colonies and it gave my shoes a bad smell. now, they smell great :)**

wow that sounds good , so how do you dry them then? poping them into the dryer might ruin the leather , hai na?

ager main nai shoes washing machine main dhoooo leyee tu begum ya tu mujhey ghar sai nikal phainkey gee… ya washing machine ko. Donoon conditions main nuqsan mera hee hai so I use hose and wash shoes in Garage or in backyard …

i wash sneakers in the washers by putting them in an old pillow casei,e after removing all the dirt ,i just cant stand the idea of washing shoes in washer coz u never know what those shoes may carry

hmmm rosetta , that is a brilliant idea actually ... putting the shoes in an old pillow case .. that would also protect them against hitting the drum...

I wash trainers and other cloth shoes slippers etc in the washing machine.... It has a sept function just for shoes etc :D ( a moment to drool yes ).... Put them in a zipped bag (i have one for lingerie and one for this kinda stuff)... And off they go... Cme out sparkling. Suede...leather i have not tried...

I inquired with my wife and she confirmed that our machine (and i think its true for all machines) do 3 cycles of wash, rinse and drain per every Washing. That is enough to make napaak into paak, so silamically you can wash your shoes with other clothes.
