Washing Baby's Face

WARNING: NEW PARENT (stupid questions ahead)

As most of you know… my son (:yahoo:) is 6 months old.
I’m not sure what to wash his face with, is there a baby soap? Or should I just use water?

Same question for moisturizer

we used the johnson’s head to toe body wash sometimes..but then we switched to using dove soap for her whole body, and it has been great. it doesnt dry out her skin..but you just have to be super-careful to keep it away from the eye area..

our daughter would cry like a monkey if we tried to wash her face after meals…so we’d hand her a wet washcloth, and in about 5 minutes, she’d haver her face mostly cleaned up :cb:

well, mostly I stayed away from using any soaps for washing the baby;s face. my daughter when she was 1 month old, she had some kind of allergy all over her face and head.. So the doctor told us strictly not to use the soap. Even now I am afraid of using soap on her face. I just used water or baby face wipes (i forgot the which brand) to clean.

I just use water or a wet towel, I bath her almost daily, so I use her bath water to wash her face.

Munz, buy Baby Magic, Johnsons or Gerber head to toe washes and lotions. They are tear free and gentle enough to use everyday. You get so many types now. Some have overpowering fragrance that could cause an allergic reaction so just use a mild one.

We use aveeno baby bath which is great. you can use it for face too as it's gentle. for face cream we use neutrogena belgian formula hand cream which is best moisturizer I've come accross .

I have teh johnsons head to toe will try that..

And the wet washcloth is a brilliant idea except i think he'll eat most it.

tried and trusted. Make sure you don’t get one with fragrance because babies skin is too sensitive for it.

i use the night time baby bath stuff.. ALL THE TIME... so that she will fall asleep. Lol :)

the johson stuff or even Huggues bath soap is great for kids.

Mine is 2 years now, and I still use it.
