It isn't bhai jan (although the paragraph I quoted is itself based on some references), I agree. But wikipedia or other his-story books written by politically correct authors aren't a good source of information either. Anyways, what's more important to me is what Jinnah stood for than where he came from. Baqi rab jane.

I'm going to pray for your forgiveness as I don't think you know any better. A person held in high regards by many does not deserve such slander (especially if he is part of the ahle-e-bait). I have met many AGA KHANIS and their philantropic efforts and activities truly depicts an ideal muslim. Just look at the developmental work that has gone on in Paksitan because of these people!
Also not only was Jinnah an ismaili but one of the key members of the creation of Pakistan was Shah Sultan Mohammad Shah Agha Khan (the previous imam of this sect).
So really, we are in great depth to these people.
Re: Was quaid-e-Azam a panjabi rajput from Sahiwal
Are you an Ismaeli? Can you answer a few questions about your beliefs if you are?
I tried doing research on them but to no avail because their websites don’t have anything on their beliefs and practices.
I don’t mean to offend you, I’m genuinely interested.
Is it true that the “Imam-e-Zamaan” was born out of wedlock which is the reason his father didn’t ascend the throne and it was passed straight to the “Imam-e-Zamaan” from his grandfather, is it true they don’t pray Namaaz/Salaah or face the Qiblah in the prayers they do say? And that Qur’aan is secondary to the Imam’s opinion?
I also heard the Imam’s two sons Prince Rahim and Prince Hussain converted to Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamaa’ah, Allaah knows how true that is, if it’s true they should have played along till one of them became Imam so that they get authority over the worldwide Ismaeli community and then come out and guide their followers too.
I have a lot of reverence for the Ahle Bait and my mother belongs to the Ahle Bait but people such as the Agha Khan and the Jordanian royal family make me realise not everyone who is a descendent of our Prophet :saw: is so holy.
Re: Was quaid-e-Azam a panjabi rajput from Sahiwal
Brother, I’m a Shia Musalman. I don’t have the answers to a lot of those questions. One of my best friends is ismaili and hence the reason for my original post.
One answer I do have is that Prince Rahim or Prince Hussain may be the next Imam; thus they can bring in any practices or take out any practices accoording to their discretion. As far as I know, the Imam-e-zamaan has full rights to lead his mureeds.

Re: Was quaid-e-Azam a panjabi rajput from Sahiwal
I don't care where he was from. He is my leader, the best leader our nation has had. No other leader of pakistan deserves the kind of loyality and love i have for him. He was a muslim, no matter of which cast, and a great leader and that is good enough for me.
the qura'an says "Is the reward of goodness anything but goodness". When he gave us a homland to live in, i believe he was being good to us. the least we can do is show some respect for him.
One of the best things about him was that he was a man of principle who stuck to his principles no matter wot the cost.
