No matter what one says, including so called technique…it was/is over-rated.

Are you a halfwit? The technique is revolutionary. The field of view of the portrait which challenged established full-body portraits, the focus variations in that painting and the intimacy shown were not applied before the Mona Lisa. Everything changed after contemporary artists followed Leonardo Da Vinci’s technique.

Now unless you know what you’re talking about, I’d probably suggest that you walk away.

P.S. I agree it is not amazing when talking about the painting itself but the processes are something you cannot call over-rated.
