see i did not raise this topic for any long term implication or to spit fire.there had been numerous connections trade etc between arabs and indians..in past.anyone not having knowledge of islam can be struck over that like me.... in past there are topics like that" prophet mohammed pbuh was the last avtar of hindus" no oneraised big why to that..
even its true its not make any difference for anyone but historically it would have been a turning point to think indian empire extended till so far.. vikrammaditya was in 75 bc..indian calender is vikrami samvat..in india too there have beem reigns of diff religions like bhuddism which was equally popular as hindusim one time but now faded people converted but it was way to life not an identity.. so no thing to panic and scream.. if its wrong i do add it is wrong.. but that can be decided by muslim frined na not me or lese.... so tk positive buddies..

I hope this clears this one up- "Kaaba- an ancient Hindu temple?"; Bull****! There were no Hindu temples anywhere in the world, not even India before the arrival of Buddhism. But books on Vikramaditya predate the Buddhist era.
Initially, Hindus used to frown upon the idol worship of Buddhism- but accepted it later.

kumar12345, you say that Vikram samvat started in 75B.C. That's very late acc. to me- there have been controversies among ourselves about it. For example, some people call this Shalivahana Samvat.

Influence of Bharatvarsh was much beyond present Arabia. Islam is the latest religion. Idol worshipping was common in Arabia before the advent of Islam.
Taj Mahal is a temple converted into mausoleum. Islam doesn't advocated celebrating dead.
History is determined by the victors not by vanquished and in case of Indian subcontinent much of it has been distorted by British historians. It was only after 1921 when the remains of Indus valley civilisation found in North West India, that historians started questioning what Europeans were writing and propagating about this sub continent. The objective of this debate is not to prove the superiority of one faith over the other but ascertaining truth.

yes theres controversy due 2 gap between them which is44+78 =122 yrs so both things cannot be associated with bikramaditya alone... there were continuous wars between Bikramaditya and shakas for rule.. Bikrami samvat marks his victory over Shakas in while shalivahan or saka (national calender indian) is on victory of shakas over him... vikrami 56 bc.. shaka 78 ad

First of all, I would like to know which Vikramaditya you are talking about. The one who defeated the Shakas was Chandra Gupta and that was in fifth century A.D. and was called the Vallabhi era, which is still adhered to in Gujarat.

He also says that Vikramaditya could have built Qutub Minar to commemmorate his conquest of Arabia. I wonder if he would want to- we have records of roman historians who wanted the trade with India to stop as Rome was being literally drained of it's gold due to the obsession the romans had for Indian goods- India was definitely her strongest self during that time. Whereas Arabia controlled by petty tribal leaders who had no culture(Islam wasn't there ). I they ever saw Vikramaditya's army, they would be running out of Arabia in no time. The conquest would have required as much time as one needs to travel from one end of Arabia to the other on horseback- King Vikram would not want to 'celebrate' this.

NO.......NO........NO. The Holy Kaa'bah was, is and will always remain the House of Allah. No one, I repeat, no one can take over this place. I would refer to a historic event when a king named Abraha tried to take it over and destroy it. Allah, The Owner of this House sent down a flock of birds called ABABEEL (in Arabic) who were deadlier than any Goddamm fighter/bomber man can invent and they destryed the whole army of that king.
