I hate to take this thread so off topic, because your condoning the destruction of other peoples' holy objects reeks of hypocrisy and is indefensible given the sanctimony and respect you demand for your holy objects. But more importantly...
The hypocrisy you show by condoning Muslims killing Muslims - innocent mosque goers and shoopers - is really baffling and even more indefensible because we are talking about humans dying and you close your eyes and deny it.

What business is it of yours over what issues Muslims kill each other…You should mind what you kill Muslims over…And each other…

I think a prophet :as: knows better than anyone of such about which one is a better way… There goes the reason why a prophet is a chosen one and not everyone can become prophet for prophet follows ALLAH unlike people like us who rely on “cause and effect intelect.”

Your feigned piety is betrayed by your zeal to inusult , including my ancestors. As if you even know anything about my ancestors. Why can’t you have a discussion without dragging up the culture, history and morality of my ancestors? That’s pathetic. Aren’t we responsible for our own ideas and deeds? Can’t you discuss things as individuals and not everything as the clash of civilizations? I am not responsible for everything anyone with my skin color or similar heritage ever did.
Go ahead and live your life in some artificial la-la land where Muslims can do no wrong and all is the fault of the evil Americans. Where it’s ok to destroy other peolples’ religious symbols, but you advocate killing those who destroy yours. Where you excuse Muslims murdering Muslims but find every chance to wish death upon Americans who are trying to stop the cycle of death and oppression in a land your righteous people did nothing to save. Oh that’s right-- it’s mostly shias getting murdered, that must be good sport.

It was a symbolic gesture to tell every one that ‘now there is no lord but Allah’. I personally feel that it was an act for that time. Now its good that we should respect other religions and show them how islam is real way of life.
If we will disrespect other religions then they will disrespect our’s. So as a muslim please help islam. This is only thing that is so close to nature.

really? so ibrahim thought Allah had to be protected and that could be done by breaking idols? doesn't sound too smart.
What's worse, many freaks that came after that took such 'symbolic gesture' to be meaningful and started breaking idols themselves - that leaves you 2 options: if you think they did because their religion demanded it, then their religion should stop claiming to be peaceful and tolerant OR if you think these freaks just used the religion and Allah as an excuse, then be ready to damn these freaks as villanous sobs who brought shame and infamy....

It wasnt funny, but he was a young lad. what should be his punishment? Should he be grounded? Should he be given no dates and figs for a month? Jailed? No, the beloved ruler of the land Nimrod? and his people felt so insulted that nothing less than death by burning would console them. Hence, Abraham is thrown into a burning fire. However, what happens? Yes, my friends, the fire doesnt burn Abraham- A MIRACLE.
Therefore, in my opinion, we have to keep in mind that these are stories of prophets who deliberately create such situations, to expose injustices, on the urging of a God who is willing to back them up with MIRACLES. However, today the age of miracles and prophets is gone. Thus a different standard applies now. This is the age of reason. However, someone forgot to tell the fundies.
