Was Bharat "born" on 15th of August?

No! Not Really!

When Bharatis woke up on 16th of August, they were still being mounted (err! ruled) by a “Gora Mount” Mountbatten.

P.S. This thread was started after Dhir (on Pak-military forum) insisted that Bharat was never born. Now you know why Bharatis would have difficulty with the concept of their country.

P.P.S Pakistanis are however proud for the birth of their country on 14th August, when their beloved leader M.A. Jinnah became the ruler.

Dear anti, I can appease your queries, if you clear me following:

  1. Name three PMs of Pakistan who have completed their terms in office.

  2. Name three former Pms of Pakistan who are living in Pakistan.

(Ps, Pakistanis are proud of what, that Pakistan has changed its shape that it had in 1947?)

Was Bharat "born" on 15th of August?
No not really. It was always there. It was pakistan that was created as a new country, dont you think?

Dear Anj! stick to the thread. Or start a separate thread with your questions.

BTW I like the thread on Bharati fascism.

Always! Ha ha! You mean the caveman used to dance naked shouting Bharati, Bharati, Bharati.

Cmmon Bud! Be serious. There must be a starting day (or Birthday) for a country, it's system of government, it's currency, and you name it.

Sure Bud! Pakistan came into being on 14th of August, exactly 1 day before Bharat came into being.

But that time pakistan consisted of east pakistan and west pakistan ..... then they were seperated.

So can u really call the pakistan that was born on 14th aug is the same pakistan that ur talking about ........

^ I don't think he is saying it is the same Pakistan, all he is saying in the statement that u chose to highlight is that Pakistan (East or West or both) was born, i.e. was created.. on 8/14

Hmmm.... so you guys think that 4th of july is the date when hawaii was added as the 50th state of America??? Just because a region is lost or gained doesn't mean that the country is "born" again.

So u say that present day pakistan is not the pakistan that was born on 8/14. but it is the pakistan that was born on 17/04/1971

Bharati Mullahs lack mental faculty just like their Pakistani brethren! Open a separate thread if you want to discuss Pakistani birthday.

The question was simple. Was Bharat born on August 16 or not?

Bharati Mullahs probably don't know.

there must be some rule against stupid threads.

Just for your reference, the topic of this thread is:

ok that was my mistake ..... i thought u understand whatever u post ........

in your post u say that Pakistanis are proud for the birth of their country on 14th August. Now, I am not sure of statistics but @ 30-40% of pakistanis (Independance Day 14th Aug) are now know as bangladeshis.

I am not objecting to whatever ur saying in your post except the date that u have mentioned as ID of pakistan ........ according to me its 17/04/1971 and its according to ur logic also.

For me the creation / seperation of pakistan from india for political / religious reasons is simillar to creation / seperation of bangladesh from pakistan for political reasons.

As per high school books, this theory does make sense. Off course we all need to graduate one day (except the few Slow-Moe who stay in high school forever).

Here is some info that may help some to graduate to the next level.

States now under Bharat and Pakistan were all part of British controlled Subcontinent until 1947. They ALL struggled to achieve self-rule.

One group of states was combined and Pakistan was born on August 14th.
The second group was combined and Bharat was born on August 15th.

BOTH of these newly born slowly established:
.. their currency,
.. their bureaucracy,

.. judiciary,
.. the executive, and
.. their army (etc. etc.).

BOTH of them became members of UN one after the other,
BOTH of them for the first time ever in history, got recognized as TWO countries
BOTH of them got their international access codes as 91, and 92.
BOTH of them established their flags (Crescent-Star vs. Chakkra)
BOTH of them declared national languages
(Urdu and Hindi, the languages were never NATIONAL in the history of the region)

Off course Bharati or Pakistani high school books do not address this issue, but unfortunately one fine day we all have to grow up.

P.S. (nothing, nada, zilch)
P.P.S nothing in post script because some people get distracted and forget about the main topic

As far as i know longest living olympian is a pakistani, a hockey player, who played in gold medal winning indian hockey team in 1928. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2004/9/11/sports/8874300&sec=sports

Here is something more …
TEST DEBUTES … for india and pakistan
India v England at Lord’s, Only Test, 1932 [219]
Pakistan v India at Delhi, 1st Test, 1952/53 [355]

As far as your united nations theory goes… UN came to existance only in 1945 (2nd world war), so by no streatch of imagination it was possible for any country to be part of UN before 1945. please check the link below, India was part of UN before 1947,

Reading this thread it is difficult to understand who is arguing for what?

Is antiobl arguing that India was never born on Aug 15 (first post), or is he arguing that India was born on that day (last post). And what is maihu arguing for? And most importantly, where is this discussion heading, and whats the whole point?

The discussion is about staying in high school or one day graduating for it.

Bharati High school books say that Pakistan existed in 1928.

OTOH yet another group of Bharatis have difficulty understanding the concept that Bharat was born on August 15th, 1947. That's all!

All the twists are turns of this thread and we still don't know what's the birthday of Bharat ;)

:konfused: … Now whats that …

Then what did they say @ bangladesh

Firstly, which High School book
Secondly, it is not necessary for all nations to have a birth date. How many nations, except Pak and israel do you know that were born on a particular day.
