Warning

Well recently my thread about Gay-Dar disappeared without any explaination and I posted it again with request for explaination. It disappeared again; thus, naturally I posted it again. And our mod decided to give me warning points. That, I disagree with. In short, I am contesting the warning points (not to mention my gumshuda thread that was wrongfully deleted).

Re: Warning

may be, it was because of the wrong spelling of Geedar :hmmm:

Re: Warning

I contest the additional warning points....entirely uncalled for.

Re: Warning

This was the 3rd (or was it the 4rth ? ) thread that you opened on this topic. Cafe mods have been telling you all along NOT to open threads with such lame topics in Cafe. The warning was issued for inappropriate conversation topic and then for insubordination, as you brushed off the mods request to refrain from opening such threads. Had you not opened another thread in Cafe and instead opened this thread earlier in the Feedback forum, you could have avoided the second warning.

Nothing personal here. Just follow the rules and the policies of the forum that you are posting in. Different forums have a different culture and some topics that are OKAYish in cafe may be frowned upon in Gen or Life forums, and vice versa.

Re: Warning

This thread was opened before the second thread that you closed. That thread was to discuss with the guppies the general grief over the deletion of my thread and the lame responses from the mods. What constitutes a lame thread is highly a judgemental call....different people think at different wave lengths and as long as there is nothing overtly wrong with the content of the thread, it should not be closed or deleted. I rather open a thread about a general topic rather than argue with a particular mod about something as insignificant as the deletion or closure of a thread. I continue to maintain that warning points were uncalled for. Perhaps the guppies should have a warning point system towards the mods as well.

Re: Warning

Contesting the additional warning points as well.

Re: Warning

Bravo
so first you opened a thread here in feedback
and then ignored the mods warning, went back to cafe to open a new thread
WOW !!

We have a feedback forum for that. Cafe is not the right place

Good idea :k:

Re: Warning

Re: Warning

uh yea I don’t see how anyone would follow the rules if there WEREN’T warnings issued for insubordination of the rules. =\

Re: Warning

:hehe:

sanu pucho :grumpy:

Re: Warning

through mutual understanding and dialogues by making them friends is one sane option and I am sure Warnings are used at last resort as the current case where according to James Bhaand, a communication gap was tried to be filled initially. Otherwise, it will be like Marshal Law: My way or Highway?

it’s like all of us are treated as second grade citizens :naraz:

Re: Warning

I feel it’s necessary that i mention what one Ms. Admin once said/wrote about the gupshup community roughly 2 years ago. She said ‘yai dau takai kai laug’ as if she was royalty. Thank god for the shake up and Ehsan bhai’s arrival warna danda peer tha. However, now with some moderators the same feeling is coming back and that’s not good.

Re: Warning

And ofcourse you’ve failed to mention how the Mods are treated by some of the members.

Anyways, I can’t speak for all the Mods of GupShup, but I know I give people the same attitude they give to me. If they’re gonna be *****y, I’ll be *****y back. And if they’re gonna suck it up and not take it so personally, then that would make things so much more simpler.

Re: Warning

If you think it's the right attitude for a mod, then by all means you are entitled to your opinion. May be that is how a moderator should be.

As for mods being treated by members, it's like the (same foul word you used that is filtered) attitude results in the (same foul word you used that is filtered) attitude in your own words.

Re: Warning

So first you say that Mods should be role models and therefore they are expected to have better attitudes than normal members, and then you say that Mods are nothing better than regular members and they shouldn't be treated as such. Make up your mind, dude.

Anyways, there's only been 1 single member on this entire forum that I just absolutely can not put up with. Other than that I haven't had any major problems with other members at all. So I think my attitude/approach is just fine. :)

Re: Warning

first you failed to understand what I said. Mods are role models but they should not be special, and they are not. Period. There is a difference between being role model and between special. If you are a role model you don’t depict the same (whatever that obscene word that you used) attitue as other members are using. That’s degrading of a role model job

rest is good for you :k:

keep it up

The issue of dopey is in hand and being dealt with.
