since these days our petty media is angry with the government, the media slavishly carries advice from any two-bit gora on how pakistan should be run. twenty years ago when cheen was a poor third world country like pak is today, goras used to offer similar advice to chinese government. goras particularly got excited after the tianamen square incident in 1989 when cheenas put down bughawuth by some cheenas who were suffering from gora complex like a lot of pakistanis today. as a reminder, the following link has details of tianamen square incident:
around the time of tianamen square incident, pakistanis were embarking on a decade long experiment with democratic rule. for the next 10 years while cheenas were working hard to turn their country into a world power, pakistani politicians were fighting kutta-billee style while driving the country into the ground through their mismanagement and corruption.
so how far has china progressed in the last 20 years? answer: twenty years ago, goras used lecture cheenas on how to run their country and even imposed sanctions. today, goras beg cheenas to strengthen their currency so that goras can compete in world markets. bottomline, any country that has adapted gora nizam has achieved zilch. and pakistan will be no exception if we listen to the goras and give the likes of bb, ns, altaf hussain and the great khan complete freedom to do what they want. the best way to run pak is to keep the dunda over the politicians and their flunkies in the media and the judiciary.
pakistan can only progress if like cheen, it becomes a champion of trade, industry and commerce. none of our politicians can run the corner paan shop much less help pak compete with countries like china or vietnam. its only under musharraf that things have turned around. his success is bothering people who dont want pak to succeed be it jihadis sympathisers or india-lovers like asma jehangir. these groups have combined to create an artificial crisis in pak like cheenas of tianamen square. i salute government for dealing with the enemies of pak in the manner they deserve. i only wish govt had the guts to treat goras like cheenas did.
Re: warning: listening to goras is bad for your country
You are right, I don't know why I cared about people's right, formalizing institutions, accountability, institutions etc. We can easily make Musharraf our King and live happily ever after.

Excellent point! We shouldn't care about Germany, Japan and other countries, after all they are in same category as Swaziland. Also, India doesn't count as they are our enemy.

read a bit of history.
i. germany and japan were world power before wwii. germany was largely defeated by soviet union which lost around 25mm people in the process. as for japan, it took a couple of atom bombs for the u.s. to subdue japan. otherwise there was no guarantee that u.s. would win.
ii. if goras turned germany and japan into world power, than iraq must be the next candidate for this honour. btw philippines was occupied by u.s. for a long period. care to explain why u.s. did such a good job with it?
iii. as far as india and pak goes, pak has a higher gdp per capita. look it up.
Re: warning: listening to goras is bad for your country
^^Alas danda weilding army ruler of pakistan right from Ayub Khan to mush always listened to goras and rented their country to them.what an irony??????

I didn't say they rose from ashes, they were powerful, they got subdued but even with "gora" ideas they are still powerful... its not as if they are trash now.

Different ideology behind these wars.

Right, thats why every country in world is running behind Pakistan to do their outsourced work, they rely on Pakistan more than India, they trust Pakistan more than India, Pakistan is considered next super power... you are right, I stand corrected.

Army listening to goras, strings being pulled, getting called at 2:00AM is okay, its the awaam that shouldn't pay attention to 2-bit goras.
Re: warning: listening to goras is bad for your country
^^im confused :)
Its simple, when it comes down to people's rights, "juntas" accountability/responsibility, elections we should not pay attention to goras... but when our army "listens" to goras (to decide in the best interest of nation) it is alright.... that is what our king faisal means.
Re: warning: listening to goras is bad for your country
chinis depend on goras tachnology and almost all of their exparts are to gora countries…pakistani exparts are also growing because of trade concessions from gora countries if am right…:rotato:
Re: warning: listening to goras is bad for your country
King?Faisal:
If your point is that pakista should follow its own counsel and not be dictated by goras, I agree.
But your example of china is completely wrong. Are you prepared to give up all religious practice as china demanded of its people at that time? Are you rdy to accept communist party chief as the supreme lord instead of allah? Then you have a point

The comparison between China and Pak is immoderate. A country with lots of dynasties (first one to be believed in 2070 BC) becoming republic in 1900s, having 1000s of master minds, responsible for lots n lots inventions, etc and then to collate with Pak. Almost hilarious!
We are like 60 years and very unexperienced compared to China. In any case, that is. Therefore this discussion is not valid.
But I believe, we need to be independent at reintegrating democracy in our land. Which will not happen that soon, til Mushy is in bizz.
Re: warning: listening to goras is bad for your country
^ I don't think the point is that we should follow China's model. That's no different than saying we should follow America's model.
I think what the poster is saying is that Pakistan's government needs to look at the needs of its people and the circumstances, and the region, to determine what course to take.
ex. BB is a criminal. At least she's been allegated to be one, and she should be tried in a court for her crimes, and determined to be innocent before the Pakistani government works a deal with her. Just forgiving a potential criminal for all their crimes because some country is advising you to is not the right course to take.

Let me be offtopic on this post:
Hypothetically speaking. Let us believe BB was never first choice of US of A and Mushy would rather go for Nawaz than her. What would change Pak peoples mind to vote for a PM, who is basically non existing? We believe BB is a criminal, Nawaz is a traitor and Imran is a one man show with less support to be voted. I'm mean we don't have a choice, do we? Nawaz naih, BB naih, Imran naih to koih bhi naih?!?! This can't be it. We need a PM.
Re: warning: listening to goras is bad for your country
opposing american agenda at home does not mean that pakistan should launch a jihad against america or even give shelter to groups that want to kill americans. america is the big daddy and puny little states like pak dont live to tell the tale if they directly threaten the interest of big powers like america. in addition, cooperation with big powers is also a good strategy when interests align and cooperation can further the interests of pak. during the days of jinnah, uk was the big power which was actually occupying pak. still jinnah cooperated with the british in wwii even though the british took india to war without consulting with the natives. congress in contrast took the moral highground and refused cooperation which put muslim league at an advantage. jinnah btw also appointed a british head of the army after independence.
indians after opposing americans for decades have learnt their lesson and after 9/11 were ready to offer air bases to america. its only clueless pakistanis who think pakistan could have prevented america from attacking taliban and america would not have bombed pak if taliban and al qeedah element escaped to pak from afghanistan.
Re: warning: listening to goras is bad for your country
example of china is appropriate because chinese citizens have much less political rights than pakistani citizens do. and yet chinese citizens dont look to the u.s. for salvation like pakistanis do. and nor does u.s. ever raise the issue of lack of democracy in china. similarly saudis live in totalitarian religious state and yet americans dont raise the issue of human rights in saudi arabia. its only pakistanis who like to be humiliated by foreigners. centuries of surrendering to foreign powers has conditioned pakistanis to regard foreigners as superior human beings be it despicable arabs in al qaeedah or second rate members of u.s. congress that gave aid to israel so that it could kill more lebanese civilians.

Agreed. The Grim Reaper has eyes for US puppets installed all over the word.
In the end people like ZBA and ZUH had to pay a heavy price.

Chinese citizen are not allowed to look at the us for salvation. US owe China approx. 2 trillian $, why would they ever raise issues against china. Especially now! Even the Chinese Student had to keep their mouths shut once and for all after the western countries supported revolt some years ago. I pitty them. And then we have S.A. Let us not even talk about them. We know about their fawning.
