If you are thinking of staying in Toronto, PLEASE READ THIS.
So I went to Toronto last weekend in search of a place to stay while I study. I was looking specifically for student housing. The 1st place I went to visit was student housing on Gerrard street. I found the website on Google, nice looking and professional looking website, very descriptive, with pictures and all. So I booked an appointment with the coordinator- a woman called Roxane. Now, I never actually spoke to her. It was always by email. When I did call, I got the voicemail (man’s voice).
Anyhow, an appointment was made and on a saturday morning, I went over for a viewing of the place in question. What I saw shocked me. I arrived there a few minutes early. Knocked on the door. A young girl (maybe 19 to 21 years old) peecked through and then opened the door. Her face was covered in bruises. She had a huge black eye. Dried blood on her face. When I asked if she was ok, she smiled and said yes. Could barely speak english. I asked her if she was Roxane and she pointed to the next house. Anyhow, I was so shocked I just got in my car. Then I saw a young blond guy walking from the next door house into the one where the girl was. He called me and said that Roxane couldnot be there but that he would show me around. I asked about the beat up girl, he said "dont worry, she just had a biking accident yestrday. I didnt go back.
Now I’ve been investigating, and I am pretty sure this place is a brothel. They have just come up with a new website. The girl Roxane actually has a facebook profile, but has not been active on it since January (no msg, postings nothing…). They also have a group on facebook, but the only fans are 4 guys (one of them being the one I saw that day). website: www.homes-abroad-international.com

Maybe im wrong, maybe that girl did fall off a bike and her face coincidently landed on a fist. But dont take a chance!!
