Warmongers

Currently, we hear this term repeatedly, when someone talk about action against Taliban.

Who do you think were the real warmongers in human history?

Re: Warmongers

Genghis Khan?

Re: Warmongers

You mean Mongols as a whole?

May be every invader / expansionist can be termed as warmonger, whether the expansion was done in the name of religion or worldly matters.

Re: Warmongers

Bush, Chenny, Margaret Thatcher et el

Re: Warmongers

Margaret Thatcher?? in the list

Re: Warmongers

yup, she was instrumental in the first Iraq war [1992]...she was in the US when Saddam annexed Kuwait...she had a long meeting with Bush Sr and afterwards she embarked on the war drum beating.

Re: Warmongers

Falkland war with Argentina too

Re: Warmongers

Hitler?

Re: Warmongers

Ghaznavi?

Re: Warmongers

But war was incited by Saddam's invasion of Kuwait, it is different from WMD case. Secondly I am sure US would have interveined with or without UK, but charge of warmonger stays.

Falkland is British territory, Falklanders consider themselves British and it was Argentina that invaded. Here I like her resoluteness equalling Golda meir :)
