I think in times of war and turmoil, propaganda literature flourish and the old literature which fulfills that propaganda. Read posts in PA/WA, people quote Iqbal’s ashar for but shikni to prove Muslims are intolerant, but they never quote Bulleh Shah, Waris Shah from the very same land conveying pure tolerance.
