Re: War on petty issues
Now this make Timurids and Jats professional brothers:D
Back in the day every tribe was looter I suppose, the one who was the greatest became king:)
Re: War on petty issues
Actually Mughals (Mongols) and Jatts were both originally Steppes people so if not brothers they were definately cousins
Re: War on petty issues
Steppes?
Re: War on petty issues
Yes the Central Asian Steppes are a landscape like no other. Literally an Ocean of Grass stretching from Hungary to China with a few hills in between, arguably the greatest Horse country ever. Since before History itself the steppes were home to the first people who domesticated the horse and made it not just a means of transport but mobile warfare.
For centuries people foguht over the grazing rights and herds and many tribes came from here, the great Jatts and Rajpoots of India, the Sythians, the Russian Cossaks, the Huns, the Tartars and Mongols as well as the Turks all came from the Steppes.
The Deosai plains and the winding paths across the hills between Kyber and Western Pakistan's tribal areas led into fertile punjab which was the gateway of India for these tribes to raid deep into the Indo Gangetic plain.
Back then Women, Horses and land had more importance than what we would think today but some wars were started over petty issues and others were not.
