1) Platoon
2) Enenmy at the gates.
3) The bridge on river Kwai.
4) Braveheart.
5) Black Hawk down.
6) Saving private Ryan.
These are the ones I like.
Rambo isn’t really a war movie, but definately one of my favorite action series. :k:
U-571 was cool though.
There haven't been too many WWII movies about Japanese occupied Burma. There is one that stands out, called "Objective, Burma!" from 1945. Has anyone seen it?
hmm lemme see
Indian war movie
Border
"The Thin Red Line" was another cool one also.
Another good one, a Canadian movie (I believe) from 1994 called "Dieppe". It was about the true story of how over 900 Canadian soldiers bravely sacrificed their lives in order to try and take the French coastal town of Dieppe back from the Nazis.
humm anyone knows the name of this movie starring Michael J. Fox where, during the war in Veitnam his squad kidnap and gang rap a veitnamis girl and he tried to rescue her.

Though, I've liked Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down and Enemy at the Gates but Casualties of War will be my fav. war movie.
It is a strong story about Michael J. Fox, a soldier, who just entered in the Vietname War, finds himself the outsider of his own squad when they kidnapped, raped and murdered a young Veitnamese girl while their long journey in the jungle for pleasure.
Brian De Palma, director of such virtuoso films as "The Fury", "Dressed To Kill" and "The Untouchables", you're looking for those camera styles in the movie that you never witnessed. You can find a sequence with a grenade used in a murder attempt of Michael J. Fox is an obvious example of inevitable. His discreet use of the camera during the rape scene, however, is commendable.
Michael J. Fox gives one of his best performances. You can really tell how good his morals are when he’s confronted by Meserve with a rifle. Sean Penn was great, too. The best performance in the film. To keep the audience glued to the screen like that and strike fear in their heart is an accomplishment. He’s an ultimate bad guy. Everything works perfect, specially the beginning and the end of the movie, where Michael J. Fox meets an Asian woman on a train that reminds him of the woman they held captive. This is a great film with a great message. Right up there with “Platoon.”
