War in Iraq - let's do the right thing

I supported Bush and even voted for him. But now that it has become clear tha the wmd etc reasoning was false, I think it is time Bush apologized to the families of Iraq and US and start executing on an exit.

Lives are more important than the saving face. Admit and quit Bush. We were all wrong about the wmd, and incompetent about how we went about removing Saddam.

Re: War in Iraq - let's do the right thing

To say that Bush has goofed in Iraq would be an understatement. All things said and done it is not practical to expect Bush to apologise to the people of Iraq and the families of the soldiers killed in Iraq. It is imperative that the ordinary citizen of US realises that he is loosing his countrymen in Iraq for the folly of a person called Bush. Something needs to be done immediately and the time is now. The longer the american army is in Iraq, the more misery, it brings to the ordinary Iraqis. Al Quaida operatives would be rubbing their hands in glee...

Re: War in Iraq - let's do the right thing

I believe the guys who supported the war initially and voted for him, have something to apologize for too. If it werent for you guys, there was a chance this mess wouldnt have occured in the first place.

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

Hindsigt is always 20/20. However US now is doing the right thing by staying there. I wish they had stayed with Afghanistan instead of letting Pakistan, Bharat, Ruskies, and Iranian Maulanas make halwa out of poor Afghanis.

Nation building is the toughest challenge especially in the countries with low intellect and criminal history such as the Middle East. I mean 40 thieves of Baghdad is not something created by the US. These scum bags have been around for a long time. If anything US happens to be poor Ali baba being hounded by the dreaded thieves.

If US quits now, Iraq will be torn apart by the likes of Syrian Arabs. In fact it is time for the rest of the sane countries to go in and hunt down the suicide bombers and bring peace to a beautiful country of Euphrates and Tigris.

Best regards

p.s. Kerry supporter now claim to have voted for Bush. White lies again!

Re: War in Iraq - let's do the right thing

^Who created the biggest and the 'real' thief of bughdad.............!!!?

40 theives still live in novels and stories....

Re: War in Iraq - let's do the right thing

^ LOL! I am sure you got the message of my post.

Re: War in Iraq - let's do the right thing

So there was this US senator on NPR who said that the president "could take the politics out of Iraq once and for all if he would simply go on television and say to the American people, `Yes, we made mistakes,".

Since it just killed few thousand Iraqis anyway, so now I was wondering if Obama would allow Osama to say the same thing to the Americans as well.
Yes, we made a mistake,

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

 he was not wrong he did that on purpuse…would you have voted for him if he had told you his motives to kill innocent people and detroy peace in Irak and expand Al Qaida power in the middle east was oil ???

Irak have 11% of the word’s oil reserve…and far less tapped than KSA or UAE ones…and US is the biggest oil consumer…and China is puttting lots of pressure on the market.. so US has to secure oil supply, no matter what is cost…

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

Dear Parissenoor, Oil is frequently brought in the picture by the lefties and ex-kommies. Let’s look at some other countries who received special “attention” from the top power.

  1. Cuba - No oil

  2. Yugoslavia - No oil

  3. Burma - No oil

  4. Darfur - No oil

  5. And the big ones from a bit further out. Japan and Germany had no oil.

All these countries were “pressured” for one major reason. They all became source of instability in the world.

Best regards

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

w
hen did USA invade Cuba, Burma and Darfur to eradicate their oppressive leaders???

is Castro under trial?
is the military rule of the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC) under trial?
has the Sudan government been dismissed?
no
no
no
please do some googling before stating inanities

and Angela Merckel ain’t an oppressive leader, neither mister koizumi, so the only thing I can say is right in your post is that Yugoslavia received some military help from US to get rid of a dictator (Milosevic), but the reason is simple: it is in Europe and Europe is an important business partner for USA…they could not afford to see a bigger war taking place over there..like WW III

ps, i vote right not left cause i’m liberal in my economic points of view:D

Re: War in Iraq - let's do the right thing

As Noor pointedout, Yugoslavia was attacked by the USA despite having no oil.

However, since it had no oil, you can see how the US did not invade Yugoslavia to implement "regime change". The Yugoslav government changed due to the Yugoslav people.

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

I’ve been reading it over and again and I can’t believe you can say that…to you killings thousand of innocent people and extending Al Qaida power in Irak is just “special attention”…what a disgusting euphemism…this is pure revisionism…killing is a crime, irakian people is killed for economic reasons and to you it is just “special attention”…
my god…what happened in Europe during the WWII has no impact on you…and humans keep on doing the same atrocities over and over again…

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

and why shouldn’t they secure their oil supply? why shouldn’t they protect their vital interests? u think America is gonna just lie down and let of a bunch of [edited]cower it into submission?

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

so you think it is right to kill for money!..
some people just don’t like peace and harmony…
anyway

peace and love my dear!

I’ll kiss my enemy, till he gets sick of me, if he kills me i don’t care
you can kill those who are true you’ll never kill truth :flower1:

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

First comes love “sanctions”, and then comes marriage “invasion”. Cuba, Burma, and Darfur stayed as lovers, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea, Granada, Panama, Falklands, Ivory coat, etc. etc. reached the next stage. Why it is so difficult to understand?

Oil or no oil, if a region creates large enough instability; first come the sanctions and if they don’t work, the top powers almost always invade.

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

so basicly bully small countries, but the goras don’t have the balls to do anything about a big powerful country like China ?

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

Beg your pardon, but Suda does have some oil!

Except Yugoslavia, the US really doesn’t go into regime changing in these countries does it?

Cuba was a concern because of its location as a USSR base (Cuba has much better human rights record unlike lets say US allies like Uzbekistan or even Israel).

Start using your head for once my dear dezi muzloom!

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

You do in practical terms (ethics aside) might is right!

The US even has plans for its own european allies and saudia arabia which can be invaded and occupied if things go awry according to US viewpoint..

Re: War in Iraq - let’s do the right thing

Don’t use stupid reasons to justify the killings going on in Iraq (and yes US is responsible).

WHole-hearted complete support of bush and his policies makes you no better than the dumb cheese pumping hilly billy Ohio Guy that rants here!
