You guys every wonder how war booty (Mal-e-Ghanimat) was used to fill Bait al Mal (Government’s treasury) during the time of Khulafa Rashideen?
How will one fill Bait al Mal today? Is it OK to go capture resources from the globe and fill our bait al mal?
p.s. Due to the sensitive nature, “Ghilman and Laundies” (male, female slaves) are not included as mal-e-ghanimat.

IMHO the booty that was captured in a just and defensive war was and still can be included in Baytulmal.Obviously we cannot wage offensive wars just to fill the public treasury!

From what I remember, the war-booty was whatever the opposing army brought in the field with them and not the wealth of the nation opposing army represented.

I was just answering the question in the original post "do we fill our treasury with resources captured from all over the world"
