I love to hear from Shastri, Sanjay and some what Rameez as well. any way..Waqar is far more better than any pathetic comentator like Ranjeet, Rana tungaa and Amir Sohail.

Anyone know what happened to Aamir Sohail? Was he fired from the job and Waqar brought on as his replacement? He suddenly disappeared after the fourth ODI. It'd be a shame if he was fired, even though I didn't like his commentary style very much.

I liked how Waqar was vocal about his disappointment with Shoaib Actor. When ravi asked him about shoaib's playing in WI, waqar plainly said if shoaib has to play he has to get his act together.

Yeah it was big of him indeed. I mean in one way Shoaib is the successor of Waqar's heritage (as in Imran > Wasim > Waqar > Shoaib) and Waqar expects alot from Shoaib and as such has to be a fan of his but at the same time he honestly cannot stand any BS from actor.

In the final interview in the end, Waqqar got a bit diplomatic by saying he is a fan of Shoaib and would like to see him. Earlier he had said that he needs to get his Sh!t, i mean act together.
PS: there is no way anyone can replace Waqqar Younis in 100 years.
I think his English was pretty OK. So what if he had an accent, so do most of you here :p

Except his accent was like zabardasti ka imposed. He had an accent throughout the commentary but if you watch the final talk with Manjrekar again you will notice that he had lost all accent because he had to speak fast to speak his mind (in other words he got pace but lost all line and length). :D

waqar was very clever with his words covering up his previous statement on shoaib.its a known fact that waqar has never been keen on shoaib and had felt threatened by his place in the team.ever since shoaibs inclusion waqar was mostly sidelined from the team.waqar should remember that he was our yesterday and shoaib is our today.waqar should learn to be more professional whilst commentating and making constant ridiculous statements against shoaib.

this thread is more than a year old bro…the time when this interview was given, shoiab was under a lot of criticism…things have changed since then.
BTW apart from this interview, I haven’t heard any “constant ridiculous statements against shoiab” made by waqar recently

Waqar had nothing to worry about, when Shoaib joined the wagon Waqar was very important for the team, only after he became captain his performance began to decline. The only tussle Waqar had was with Wasim Akram.
