WAPDA signs 136MW emergency power deal

LAHORE: The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) signed an emergency power supply agreement with US-based ALSTOM Power Rentals (APR) here at a ceremony on Wednesday.
The APR will install a 136 megawatt power plant at Sheikhupura which is to be fully commissioned within a record 120 days, according to a press release. The plant will be operated and maintained by the APR for the duration of the 36- month renewable agreement. The agreement value is an estimated $117 million. …
Well well, why don’t they sign alot more of these contracts… get the factories running 24/7 and produces more resources in Pakistan - which should generate higher revenue, enough for creating more power plants!!!
