friends! i found this poem so sweet and wanted you to have a look at it
i want to take
a long
a really really long
silken thread,
hold one of its ends
and tie it
around my finger
and then
tie the thread
to the trees
to the flowers and
the leaves
and then tie it
to every woman
whom i meet,
walking on the street
to every man
who passes by me,
to that little girl
playing in the sand
and
to every little girl
who is not
but wishes
she played in the sand
to that little boy
smiling at the girl
playing in the sand
and
to every little boy
who dreams of
smiling and being
with a girl
palying in the sand
and then
tie the same thread to
that squirrel running
around the tree and
the birds flying free
and then take the
remainder of the thread
further up to the sky
and tie it
around the stars and
the planets
and finally
anchor the
thread’s other end
to the marvellous moon.
once all of us
are tied this way
every time
even one of us
tied to this thread
is in pain
every single one
in the thread
can feel it too.
every time
even one of us
tied to the
long silken thread
is happy,
each and everyone
in the thread can
be happy too.
could somebody
tell me
where, on this earth,
could i buy
such a long
such a really really long
silken thread ?
the color
i would like
is Green !
