Want to cry and don't know what to do.... HELP

So problem is that I have waaaaaaaaayyyyy too many clothes to take care of… I went to pak recently and donated all my shaadi key kaprey that I couldn’t fit into or I didn’t care too much for them (pls no judging they were nice, just not my type) …

Now I’m stuck with western casual clothes, eastern casual clothes, eastern formal clothes and western formal clothes (office wear) … I’m expecting at the moment and from every woman that I have come across they have told me do not expect to wear these clothes again for at least a year after giving birth…

I will try to donate as many of them as possible but it pains me coz I would like to wear them I spent money, time on them. Trying to get nice material, designs, paid a premium price for stitching…not to mention I would have to spend more money on getting new clothes made… :teary2:

Space is an issue but a bigger issue is that I will be moving countries a couple of times in the coming months/years…

Please share your ideas and make me not feel this sad…

Now i’m getting all choked up thinking of all the sexy sandals I have but I AM NOT parting with them…

Re: Want to cry and don't know what to do.... HELP

Automne, put your tears down to hormones, lol! Don't despair.

Pack all the clothes you DEFINITELY want to wear again in either vaccuum bags or plastic storage boxes with lids and store them somewhere safe. Do you have a friend or relative who could let you store them in their loft or garage? You just have to make sure you pack them properly. All the rest that you don't think you will want to wear afterwards, give them away to charity.

Don't get rid of the sandals! Hopefully you should get your pre-pregnancy figure back.

RH I dont' want my pre-pregnancy shape back I want my pre-marriage shape back :D

Re: Want to cry and don't know what to do.... HELP

where can I find vacuum bags... the country I live in I doubt has them.... any place online in the US where I can buy them.... on the frugal side though

Re: Want to cry and don't know what to do.... HELP

Don't part with them just as yet.. donate the ones you are pretty sure you won't be using again.. store the rest and decide later on..

Keep your sandals, it's not like you won't fit in them afterwards, right?

Then that's down to you, s gym subscription and diet is in order...

Where do you live? If you really can't find them anywhere, you can use some really strong large bags / strong bin liners, pack them, make a small hole in them, suck out the air with a vacuum cleaner nozzle and then tape the hole shut asap without letting any air in. Try it.

Re: Want to cry and don't know what to do.... HELP

If vacpac bags are available in the UK they should defo be in the USA too.

Well done to you Automne for passing your clothes on to others rather than just chucking them away.

As a rule of thumb, anything you haven't worn in the past year you are probably unlikely to wear so can probably dispose of. There are some special pieces that you only get to wear on rare occasions so put them aside and keep them.

The sandals should be fine to keep, just store them away ready for the summer?

Re: Want to cry and don’t know what to do… HELP

dnt believe wat people say everyone is diferent, some ladies put on weight others dnt put on as much, it varies, in both of my pregnancies i ddnt gain any weight so tht means atr i had my children i still fitted into my pre pregnancy clothes,
even if ur nt the same its nt gonna take a year to fit back into thm, ignore them

Re: Want to cry and don't know what to do.... HELP

yeah listen to sweetu , dont part with your clothes, just pack them safely and leave thm where you can get them through someone after a year or so ...
