WHATS the best time to conceive, i have heard of some ovulation dates stuff, but its all confusing. my cycles are regular, however after i got married i was on my period and then a 10 days later i came on period again, i was told that this is normal after marriage, female body changes etc, so now do i count that as a noral period or not, and can someone help me and tell me whats the best time to concieve and if theres any thing i can take or do to help me…
Your periods will probably settle back down again soon.
The best time to ttc is 14 days before your next cycle begins, so if u have a regular cycle, you should know when this will be.
U need to look out for signs of ovulation, google and u will find loads of results. There are different signs from temperature change in the morning, look out for ovulation discharge which should be like clear egg white (then go for it!).
Some ppl say try everyday, some ppl say every other day. If u have a 28 day cyle your most fertile days should be from day 11 - 18. Count day 1 as your the first day of your period (when u start to bleed).
I think every woman should read this book, whether they are trying to conceive or not. There is SO much about our bodies that we typically just dont know!
Same happened to me... Like my periods were normal before marriage... never missed any month... although my cycle was longer in length normally 34-35 days.... But right aftr shadi, the first period I had was one week before the normal day (the cycle shortened to 28 days) and they lasted for 10-12 days.... with heav bleeding.. I rushed to to gynae and she had my belly ultrasound... eveything was normal... she said he same that feale body is undergoing from various changes thats why.... she gave me folic acid 5 mg daily... so if youa re not taking it, try to take..its good for EDERY women trying to conceive...
*We too waiting for 3 months until I got preg, alhamdolilah.... and those 3 months were lke 3 years too me... you have gotten every negative feeling that maybe there is any defect in you or your spouse (Allah forbid)... *
That ovulation thing was too, too confuing for me.... but what i did was 'try' in between 2-3 week of your cycle ...1st day of teh cycle is day one of your period..got it? Try twice daly or atleast daily in those days.
Some people got to know abot their fertile days by 'basal temperature' or body discharge... both are confusing to me... unless you have proper device to monitor....
*Reading you post it seems that its not too much time spent after your marriage... Good luck and remember... it will only happen when Allah have best time for you! RELAX and just pray! *
before you go any further, go for a physical at your doctor's. make sure your iron levels are normal, and start taking folic acid up to 5 mcg per day, also take a pre-natal multivitamin. folic acid is VERY important- it prevents spinal cord birth defects in babies and it is really only useful in the first few weeks when you might not even realize you are even pregnant, so its important to have at least a 3 month supply in your body before you try.
in terms of ovulation, start writing down the first day your periods start. mark it in a calendar every month. this will really help figure out the length of your cycle. usually, around the 14th day, although this can vary for each women, but, generally speaking around then, you should see a white discharge - that's the easiest sign you are ovulating.
in the meantime, try to relax and de-stress because that will hinder your efforts, not help them, and enjoy the process! babies should be made in love, not math, IMHO. and remember, you only get one shot a month, so its natural that it might take a while... don't worry about that! do your best and iA it'll happen.
^agreed with SGC!
Take it easy.. the more u stress urself out trying to conceive the longer it might take.. u can buy ovulation predictor kits from the local pharmacy and they indicate when your ovulating.
Get ur gynae to prescribe PreNatal vitamins and like SGC said take them for a good 3 mnths before trying to conceive! if your planning to start trying ASAP start taking them right away - also, i would recommend getting all ur blood work done before hand aswell.. incase theres some deficiency that prevents u frm getting pregnant - like for me im anemic and have low B12 levels so i had to take shots for the B12 and was pretty high up on the list for appointments because of my blood being thin - had i not had tests done i wouldnt have knwn - so its always good to be prepped!
Also u have to realize it takes upto 72 hrs for fertilization to happen and it might not be so that u get pregnant right away - so be patient.. make duaa' and dont get upset if it takes a little longer than a mnth! May Allah make everything easier for u!!
without calculating and too much stressing when and how to conceive.
take my simple tip.
stay calm, no need to calculate anything as this tip will cover that timing stuff. just make sure you have intercourse at least every second day or 3rd day for sure. thats it.
Get your thyroid checked as well, i am trying to conceive as well, i got my blood checked as i am having subfunktion so that was really important to know if i might need a higher dose of my throid pills cuz that has to do with some important hormones which needs to be on level when trying to convieve as wel ..
Also, eat more fish and spinach, leafy vegetables, broccoli, carrots, yellow of an egg, nuts ..
try to avoid mushrooms, have those folic acid tablets daily like Pregnacare ...
And of course pray as much as you can ... :) In fact this is the best u can do and dont lose hope. ALLAH will definitely bless you .. :)
its my 8th month of trying to conceive, im not stressing about it too much (its only when others aski get stressed out) but i'm hopeful that it will happen soon inshallah, i bought a ovulation test thing, taking iron tablets and on pregnacare & am making lots of dua, so see how it goes.. have to admit this is one of the hardest things iv ever been through, its the waiting that i hate.. anyway please remember me in your duas.. good luck to all those trying, inshallah our time will come x
All the best aishii .. Others might have given up after beeing patient for so long .. So definitely dont lose hope.
I am only trying for 3 months now but my case is a bit different, as i got pregnant after 7 months of my marriage but then my husband made me abort ...
And wheneva i get my periods after every month i feel like maybe this is my punishment now, when god was blessing me i didnt recognized that and now when i want one why should he listen to me ... Maybe i really made him angry on me ..
Get consultation and tests done with your gyne and physician...Also, have your hubby's semen analysis done. I know everyone keeps saying try for a t least 1 year but if you really want to concieve now then you should definitely seek help rather stay in this frustrating condition!
