basically, any emergency situations, go through my department.. it could be anything like last week, north eastern canadian part lost electricity due to a snow storm, in 6 hrs we sent industry-strength generators to about 12 stores in that region to help people to have minimum electricity to keep up their daily needs going..
so basically, from receiving the news, TO THE product going to the stores, i deal with whole operations..
harness i'm wearing is basically safety-gear cuz inventory is held 5 stories up sometimes.. and crane we use to go up there, its open on sides, for picking up product.. so its worn so u dont fall off from 5 stories high :-)

yea that time :-) .. we call it 'de-mag' cranes.. unlike cherry pickers, they run on a fixed train-type track on bottom and another track on the roof..
a serious emergency situation requires multiple machines.. center rider, end-rider, counterbalance forklifts, bulky products are a pain, we have to use clamp trucks for those, if they are lots of small pieces, we take these lansing 'runners' (put all pieces on a cart, shrink wrap the cart) carts have lil bars coming out and our lansings are modified with a mechanism that locks into those carts, then we race our way back to the department and do our thing..
its a challenge :-)
