Re: Wana Join Army

Black_ops,
Welcome to the forum.
About your querry; the Army selects its officers for the engineering corps (EME/Engineers/Signals) through Technical Cadet Courses which are selected alongside long course cadets. the engineering cadets complete their degrees at the NUST after which they are trained at the PMA for 1 year and are comissioned directly as captains. Since last year the Army has introduced a Graduate Course for people who have bachelors or masters degrees. This course runs alongside the Long Course but is only of 1 yr duration since the graduate cadets undergo military training only. If you have an engineering degree and are under 26 years of age , you can apply. Upon initial selection your academic merit will be judged and if accepted you'd be called for the ISSB along with long course cadets. If selected at ISSB you'd be sent to the PMA for a year of training and after that will be commissioned into a corp relevant to your engineering degree. If you're a mechanical or electrical engineer you'd be commissioned in the Corps of Engineers or the Corps of Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (EME) or if you're a software or telecommunications engineer you'd be commissioned into the Corps of Signals. You'd also have an option to opt for a non technical corp and/ or fighting arm for eg the Armoured Corps, Artillery, Ordnance, Infantry etc. However, that would mean putting your engineering aside. Plus even if you join the technical corps after commission, due to being an engineer prior to having joined the army, the army would probabaly commission you as a 2nd Lieutenant and not a Captain as is done for the cadets who complete their engieering degrees with the army after being selected for the Technical Cadet Course.
meanwhile, the process is a bit diff in the PAF and the Navy. Both recruit qualified professionals in various branches especially engineers on Short Term Service contracts and Special Purpose Duties and award them ranks (Flg Off or Flt Lt or equivalent) upon completion of few months of military training at the academy according to branch, qualification and expertise. since you're already doing your MS, you'd better opt for the PAF as the PAF recruits the highest number of pre qualified engineers in various branches on short service/ special purpose duties etc. as well as regulars.

You must contact the Army/PAF selection centres in your city.

Re: Wana Join Army

In Muslim countries joining army is looked like becoming a doctor or teacher who cure or teach people. The army cures a person from all diseases when he speaks against corrupt governments by giving him a bullet tablet, also they are good in teaching people in jails not to speak up for Muslims and that is why Muslim Ummah is not able to take back their lands like kashmir, palestine, chechneya.... let alone to liberate new lands.
