Re: wall mount vs tv stand for an lcd tv
go for TV stand.
worst case scenario (happened with me when i had to babysit)
cuz no matter what you wife have to put cartoon to ur kids so they dont disturb her. but if it is mounted on the wall she have to come up there and set for them…and they wont gonna play with functions if it mounted.

ur kids will always will be willing to touch the TV (they can even bring the stool, or what not) to change the channel…so loads of experimenting is involved. so there will be a fear involved (:naoz: falling of TV )

you have to look up on an angle and it gets really hard especially if elderly people (ur mother or father) is in the room.
your kid will also lay down in order to watch the TV…which is a bad for the eyesight.
besides when we are tired we try not to look, so it will be hard for me atleast.
ps. my mother also wanted to get it mounted but i gave her reasoning of where we gonna put the controllers, or no matter what we have to buy the TV desk/stand in order to put DVD player, game consoles, magzines, etc…so why put extra money.
