I am thinking of getting some for my daughter’s room.
I have been googling it,but also want to know from those who have used them, how was the experience…??
Do they stay put for a long period (like a few years) or do they start peeling off pretty soon..??..And when I want to remove them are they easily removable and do they damage the paint…??
Also, any recommended places (in-store or online ) to get them in USA..??
I haven't heard of them either! I presume they are stickers to decorate the walls, like disney charachters. I have never used them, but do know that they will leave marks on your walls, when removed. You will most probably have to repaint the wall to cover the discoloured areas.
yup they are the stickers , I just asked a friend who recently changed them on the walls in her kids room ... she said someone told her that if you steam the sticker first before peeling it off the wall ... they dont leave stiff marks .. but it didnt work very well with her.
She even tried to rub a hot wet cloth over them before removing them but they did leave the sticky marks behind ...
I got some butterfly and flower ones for kanzah's room. They are still on unless she peels them off. I dont think they leave a mark when she peels them off but not sure. They look super cute and easily changeable. I got those at Kohls.
CB…All I know is that they are like wall stickers. Not sure if they are like wall paper borders.
Miss F…When I googled it,most of the reviews say that they don’t damage the wall paint….There are actually so many different styles and designs other than cartoon characters.Very tempting..!
Gtg…I was checking the same site earlier today..
Ira…I don’t think mine will be able to peel them off so soon as they will be a bit higher up on the wall.I will check Kohls too…
Yes, I also googled them, they look good. I liked those trailing leaves and flowery ones in particular. They would look good in a bedroom. I think it is something that still has not caught on here in the UK.
I would say just go for them, Chips! Even if it discolours the wall after a few years, you only need to give the wall a lick of paint, which isn't that hard...
yup i like those flowery ones as well .. Infact after you guys mentioned it , i am now thinking of getting some flowery ones to create a classy corner in the living room :@:
Sounds good CB...:)
I am inclining more towrds simple geometric patterns...circles/dots maybe because that will go well with a few other things. Also I figured that they might be easy to put as compared to a bit complicated ones
Lets see when this plan actually gets executed...:D
They are super awesome!!!! So much better than painting.... I jusr did the son's room in circles of diff sizes.... And they stick well (big thing sonce our walls are not smooth).... And u just gotta make sure it says they are removable and readjustable...some arent... So if u get the former...tbey will not leave a mark on the walls. My friend did the entire edge of her ceiling and took it off after a yr... No damage at all. ................But man it looks easy.... Definately hard once u start....thats why i stuck to the circles :D the flowers etc are soooo intricate!!!
Khawateen…that is the reason I want to stick to simple shapes as well.I know I will mess up the complicated ones…
D6C…About 1.5 year old.I don’t think so she needs to be handed anything that can make marks on the walls…:nono:
but it sounds like a nice idea for older kids.
