wall color?

If these are the color of your bedding, what color should you paint on the wall?

I am thinking light grey but looking for other suggestions.

White or grey! Dark grey will look good too actually!

what about cream or navy?

Re: wall color?

Definitely grey!
People usually think grey walls will make the room feel dull and boring. Not true. Grey walls makes the room feel more airy and it gives you endless possibilities in terms of decorating the room, the accent colors etc because grey is so neutral and goes with any color.

Re: wall color?

GTG - it’s for the girls room. I love dark gray but would it be too much for a girls room?

Their room is the only one in the house that is not painted because they had very colorful bedding and accessories before and we had a wall paper border.

I got them a fushia / dark grey / light grey (similar to the one above) bedding now and I want to paint the walls. I want the wall paper off.

I am thinking a light grey and pink curtains like so

Re: wall color?

dark grey will accentuate the colors in the bedding!

light grey will look great...we just painted most of our rooms grey.. benjamin moore "moonshine" and we are loving it.. but if I had to do it all over again, I would ask them to take out couple of blue drops from the mix to make it a bit more grey-er! but after two coats, it looks great!

wall color?

Charcoal grey would set this color off beautifully. My bathroom is dark n light grey and it looks gorg on the wall!! Sorry the colors are a bit off in the pic

But for a little girls room, light grey is the way to go!!!

Re: wall color?

^thanks GTG. After reading you description of tackling wall paper I am nervous

ohh devilicious - the dark gray looks :hayaa: I want to paint my powder room that color.

Re: wall color?

dark grey all the way......even for the kid's rooms....particularly if you have white furniture!!!

Re: wall color?

i would opt for bright colours, dark colours are too grown up I think..

wall color?

Go for light grey… Loving the bedsheet

Re: wall color?

solid deep fuschia for one main wall and light gray for the rest

Re: wall color?

or maybe mauve or lilac?

Re: wall color?

just wondering, wont you change the bedding ever ? why are you matching walls to the bedding? I thought it was the other way round :konfused:

Re: wall color?

light grey will look awesome for a girlie room!!:k:
you can then change the bedding colors easily…as wendy said

Re: wall color?

Hmm I'd go for a cream over grey because I find grey walls very depressing. Plus you may change the bedding color scheme later on and will be stuck with the grey. Cream is more neutral and goes with almost any color.

Re: wall color?

I was wondering the same…Or would you prefer something grey for the bedding every time you change it…??
Just curious…

Re: wall color?

it's usually the other way around but since I love the bedding and it's reversible with greys - I can use it.

I also intent to get duvets with a hint of grays or grey accent pillows if I decide with gray walls.

But I don't have white furniture. Their beds are natural.

Re: wall color?

^you can paint them! I actually have a light brown twin headboard that I am spray or brush painting soon!

and next on is his crib :D
