its not democracy, its always a hypocracy.
they are interested only picking on eachother, making substandard remarks and just walkout. cause no one actually has arguments, some MP just wake up when only a call for walkout, some MP sit in assembly having said 0 word for years..
thats the democracy we had, we have, we may will have in future.
considering all this i think Pakistan shouldnt have democracy at all. why waste money on useless walkout and sessions.
yes, the sessions are a comedy in south asian parliaments.
consider the problems Pakistan has, and watch a session and notice what issues members raise; each and every issue under discussion is about one member trying to pull another one's leg, trying to find smthng wrong with some decison taken, trying to find faults in a new policy introduced...never does a single one of them rise to say anyhting about the problems in their areas and what theyd like done abt them. a while ago a session i watched had some interesting 'issues' being discussed.
an MMA member had in hand some literature published by the ministry of interior regarding some land defaults etc...it so happened that it was in English. now the MMA mna had an objection, why was it in English? it should have been in Urdu, and claimed that the english used in it was very hard and he could not undersrtand it...the speaker asked for an explanation from the parliamentary secretary, and he asked everyone to point out a single word that an average educated person could not know the meaning of...it was decided that the language used was normal and not very thick. in the meantime a lady mna passed a comment on to the MMA guy asking him how had he made it to the Parliament, and how had he graduated if he couldnt understand such simple language...
now with our country going mad with problems, the state sepnding millions on these retards who do nothing but lounge and lunch during sessions, and this is what they do in there...
I’ve always been brought up to believe that people only get into Paki politics to make money for themselves and their families. Nothing I have seen in the Paki body politic has changed my view. Maybe another generation has to pass before we see proper representatives.
An you know guyz.. the only time when nono I MEAN IT 'NONE' of the Parliamentraian got Walkout was..
the time the resolution of salary increments of Parliamentarians was passed..
Even the opposition has accepted it and let it be passed to senate easily where it was also approved and is now the authenticated rule.
Wao what a great Parliament it is..
Sometime i think that what happnes if U.S attackes Pakistan.. where does these maulvies and so called Law makers will run to other countries..
Perhaps we ll live there to face after consiquences like iraqies are doing..
This happens when u have a rubber stamp assembly, and it has no value except to show to world that we have democracy in military controlled Pakistan.
Look at how bills r passed by Military in NA:
The pro govt MNA has this to say:
"Pakistan Muslim League (PML) member M.P. Bhandara complained the lower house had become a rubber-stamp assembly after he and another party back-bencher said they had just now received standing committee reports on the two bills on Thursday’s agenda and, therefore, could not make any contribution to the passage of these laws.
“We are not dummies,” Mr Bhandara said and repeatedly shouted a solitary “no” when his other colleagues in the ruling coalition routinely went on saying a subdued “ayes” (yes) during the clause-by-clause and final voting on the two bills, which will become laws after being passed by the Senate as well.
