I don’t remember where I read/heard that walking behind parents, forefarther blindly is wrong. Other day I was sitting alone and thinking ‘Yes’ our parents, forefathers tells/order us to offer prayers, pay zakat, keep fasts, read Quran but do they really teach us too why we do all these? I would like to ask u all do your elders teachs u the purpose also or just tell u to do so.
Example: Our elders (Parents/Forefathers) read Quran and tells/order us to read also. Do they ever told u what is meaning of so and so verse or what was the purpose of such verse by Almighty Allah. Moreover there is so and so hadith in support of that verse?
What I observed that they were just like us. They did all that what were told to them by their parents/forefathers and thay pass it to us. Isn’t its like walking behind parents, forefathers blindly? I other terms I born in such and such family who wre followers of this or that religion so i am also like them (one of them).
Please share ur views.
