Best form of exercise is brisk walking. Any form of physical activity is still better than being in couch. Many many studies have done on physical activity and overall health. Vigourous exercise on the other hand either have less participants in research or have not been found to be so beneficial.
Isotonic versus isometric exercises:
Isotonic exercises are walking or running.
Isometric exercises are like weight lifting or developing muscle tension without moving them. These are not as good compared to isotonic exercises. These tend to put pressur on heart by increasing blood pressure.
Brisk Walk for 30 min can take away 200 to 300 calories from the body.
It can avoid the risk of Osteoporosis(Bone Disease) esp in women.
It elongates body..
It is an excellent warm up session....before actual exercise..
i think this is the basic and simple form of excersise....simple cheap non-expensive...:)
i combine 30 min brisk walk with Yoga every day! and i feel healthy tht way.....:)
we spend so much on gym and other fitness machines! i will recommend everyone to develop the habit of brisk walking...it will ve a good long term and healthy effect on ur bodies! just try that!
The best advice which is given to the person who is filled with obesity is to walk, walk and only walk. The daily walk and morning walk provide surprising results to the patients of obesity and will definitely decrease your weight.
I dont agree with the notion to “forget the gym” but yea walking is great.
However, what do we do in winter? I mean in areas with weather chilly to the spine. Hiking on weekend is a good option but on daily basis its difficult.
What I try to do is walk away from my desk every hour and walk around for atleast 5-10 min. It really helps in many ways
