waking up in the night

So from 3 months my baby has been a very great sleeper where I would put her to sleep at 8 and she would wake up at 7, past 3 days she wakes up at 4 5am and I’m not sure why, Is it because she’s hungry, should I feed her? I’m trying not to ruin her routine but then I don’t want her to starve!

Her routine so far
7am wakes up, plays a bit
730 bath time (every other day)
8 milk then plays a bit
9 sleeps for 2 hours
11 baby food then sleep till 2
2 milk
5 milk
730 bath again
745 milk
8 bed

After 2 she doesn’t sleep during the day. But I might not let her sleep after 11 if she gets too much sleep during the day?

Ideas would be appreciated.

Forgot to add she’s 6 and half months.
Oh and when should I start feeding her solids twice a day?

Also bath isn’t everyday. That’s just how I started to get her to settle usually I miss one bath a day. It’s not because I think she gets dirty but because it helps her to settle

Re: waking up in the night

No harm in giving her a few spoons of solid near bed time. Some people add cereal to the milk bottle so baby tummy is full at night.

There may be something else causing her to wake up, teething, full diaper etc

Re: waking up in the night

don't add cereal to her bottle. instead, actually give her a couple of tablespoons of oatmeal or other baby cereal. i bet you its a growth spurt and she's waking up because she's hungry. i used to add a teaspoon of any kind of fruit puree to the oatmeal for my kid to make it more flavorful.

oh, also, her naps are fine! don't touch them naps! trust me, when they go down to one nap a day, you'll miss the two!

Re: waking up in the night

What sgc said... OR

She is teething... Is she drooling and biting things..sucking on things?

Also...is she learning to crawl...it could be a milestone disruption where a kid gets too excited to sleep

Trial and error m,y friend :)

Re: waking up in the night

Yep what the above posters said..we just went through a similar thing few weeks ago, then I started giving him cereal before bed instead of milk n he slept just fine..he was waking up because he was hungry n goi t through the growth spurt!

Thanks for the replies guys! So is Heinz peachy porridge fine to give her before bed? I know it says breakfast on it.

waking up in the night

Oh and she doesn't have a full nappy durin the night so can't be that

She is teething and does tend to bite her dummy but then she's been like that for a while. So don't think that is what keeps her up

Re: waking up in the night

^ yup, it should be fine. try to give her unflavoured cereals though and add in fruit purees separately because the pre-mixed ones often have a lot of sugar in them.

Thanks SGC! I'll try those, I did give her cereal last night and she didn't wake so was deffo hunger.
