Waking up in the morning

How many of you feel nauseous when you wake up in the morning or after a nap? I get it a lot and I want to know how to stop feeling this way.

Re: Waking up in the morning

That usually happens when have'nt eaten in a while. Try eating small meals and snacks so your tummy is always full.

Re: Waking up in the morning

I get this feeling when I take a nap in the evening, so I dont take naps anymore. Hubby sahab says that its all in my mind

Re: Waking up in the morning

Sadaf, i also feel liek that if i take naps in the afternoon or evening. I couldnt find another solution to it either except to not take naps anymore.

Hinna, not sure about the morning nausea. Could it be that you have an early dinner and hence your body is actually wanting food?

Re: Waking up in the morning

hinna..

Er sometimes very rarely i feel nauseous.. i mostly feel tired :bummer:

Re: Waking up in the morning

Actually I think it might be because I've been having dinner after magrib. I think when I used to eat at my normal time- like 6pm, I was okay.

Hmm..by why do we feel nauseous after waking up from a nap? Isn't a nap supposed to leave you refreshed not nauseated?

Re: Waking up in the morning

do what i do ladies :D when i get up i make sure i stay in bed for extra 10-15 mins. and think of something sweet that puts a smile on my face.

then force myself to get up. It usually works out fine :)

Re: Waking up in the morning

Isn’t there something else that can happen to girls to make them nauseous when they wake up? :halo:

Re: Waking up in the morning

mado hinna wont be discussing it if that was the case :smack:

Re: Waking up in the morning

nia something sweet like wht :D

Hinna it used to happen to me but dont have that problem anymore. It was because i used to sleep for about 8-10 hrs and since i have reduced my sleep hrs to about 5-6 hrs, dont have that issue anymore.

Re: Waking up in the morning

Yep I'd agree it's because you haven't eaten ... on the other hand I feel nauseous when I am sleep deprived - like really feel like throwing up if I haven't slept or need to sleep. One of the two, eat or get more sleep.

Re: Waking up in the morning

:hayaa: maddy…it’s not THAT!

Re: Waking up in the morning

same here. i feel "sleepy" after i wake up. need more sleep :(
hinna i dunno whats causing the nausea but i know that sleeping too much (in pakistan) and at weird times caused headaches.

Re: Waking up in the morning

Been there.

sometimes oversleeping does it. you may wake up with a slight or bad headache as well.

Irregular slipshod sleeping habits are more of a cause for it though.

Re: Waking up in the morning

you might be eating too close to your bedtime.

Re: Waking up in the morning

^
Ditto!

This happens to e when i go to bed after a meal....I wake up with a feeling that the food is still stuck in my throat n all.....

Re: Waking up in the morning

hinna : I think u need to eat healthy and proper food couple hour before going 2 sleep...and making healthy breakfast part of your daily life to get away from this icky sicky feelings :p

Re: Waking up in the morning

^ I do. I don't eat a lot of crap. I've started eating Kashi cereal ( a very healyth cereal). I've included fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds in my diet. I rarely drink coke- mostly juices and water.

Re: Waking up in the morning

It might also be hormonal. I notice I get heartburn and nausea in the mornings around that time of the month but fine other times.
