I have heard people share stories about how something will wake up them up for fajar. I’m not talking about the alarm…but perhaps a dream…or a movement or sound that jerks them awake etc etc. My cousin is in the habit of reciting Manzil in the evening and she would tell me that if she is sleeping at that time…she may experience a bad dream or something that’ll wake her up so that she’ll recite Manzil. While her example doesn’t deal with Fajar specifically, it’s similar to the question.
personally i think if you have neeyat(strong intentions) for performing fajar, you will definitely wake up at one time, but my observation if you miss that point, probably Allah subhan wa ta’alla or angel wake you up Allah knows, then you will miss the fajar after that, not necessary, but shaitan is always there, i think he stupid feels very good when fajar miss, hate him seriously, may Allah accept our salah and not make us among those who intentionally don’t perform prayers ameen
Three categories of people.
1- Angel will come and keep them in sleeping mode. Allah does not want to see them in Fajar.
2- Angel will wake them up, because Allah wants to see them in Fajar.
3- Allah’s instruction to angel, just touch them, if they wake up okay, if not then no problem, their sleeping is also ebada… Subhan Allah…
I’m also interested to know this. Are you sure you’re not confusing this with tahajjud? It sounds kind of shady particularly if it’s about Fajr. A person should be vigilant about their salat times themselves and not be waiting for angels to wake them up. Sure they might take active roles in certain cases, but for the most part, we have to make our own effort and not wait for angels to take us for salat or other ibadaat.
As for the topic, from time to time, I’ll happen to wake up at Fajr time, possibly out of concern and the fact that I tend to wake up at night anyway several times and then I’ll check the time. However, as for something unseen waking me up for Fajr, I don’t have any reason to believe that that is what’s going on.
Of course I’m not suggesting that one rely upon the angels to wake up for Fajar. I know that one should both intend to wake up for fajar and take measures to do so.
There have been times where I’ve woken up at Fajar without the alarm clock…sometimes just a few minutes before the cut-off time for fajar…so I have to hurry. A dream would make me up…as was the case this morning and it was an unpleasant one which I can’t recall now…or a sound would jerk me awake…a sound which doesn’t seem to make sense…perhaps I imagined it and it didn’t actually take place. I asked my mom about it and she said that my nani would say that those in the habit of praying Fajar wake up easily. But I have heard about this phenomenon from others, hence I asked. I am not among those who are in the habit of waking up for fajar but I have been surprised by the times that I’ve suddenly woken up at that hour …even when I received little sleep to begin with. I think it’s kinda cool…I may be wrong …but it does make me think that maybe it’s from Allah.
Sharing it because here is just fajar and i also think it specifically for fajar, but can think of other salah like this, like i think if my death is written after fajar namaz, and i don’t perform my fajar that day, and angel will take my soul while i didnt have intentions for performing fajar, does this sound scary, and it could be for other prayers as well i just think what will happen if my death is just after any namaz and i had no intentions to pray, how can i go infront of Allah subhan wa ra’alla while i have no intentions to go infromt him when I am alive…may Allah not make us among those who are disobedient Ameen
How is 1. free will to pray fajr then? Why would a person be held accountable for not praying then?
I’m lost. Please don’t say such things without a source. Some people believe everything they see, and you could be influencing others to generate a whole new set of falsified beliefs.Thanks.
