Wake Up Pakistan

So you think Muslims committed genocide in the West Punjab with their bare hands. Did they not use any weapon against the Non-Muslims.

Genocide also happened in the East Punjab where Muslim Population became ZERO.

But this fact should not be used to say that only Hindus and Sikhs were involved in genocide.

BOTH Muslims and non-Muslims committed murders and looted the property.

Let's go around Karachi and see the big houses of Hindus who were confiscated and alloted to the immigrants from India.

Then go visit our relatives in UP/Bihar and check out our tiny tiny ancestral homes (if there was one).

You will see how terrible was it for Muslim immigrants and local Pakistanis to take over Hindu/Sikh property.

This was the gravest injustice and very much against the core of the concept of Pakistan.

Even though Hindus committed crimes against Muslims in modern day India,

We in Pakistan should have protected our minorities. That's what the call of humanity was, that's what our beautiful religion teaches us, and that's what the morality is all about.

Having said that, Jinnah and Nehru and Gandhi never wanted to kill Hindus or Muslims. They all were passionate about India and the people of Indian subcontinent.

They had POLITICAL differences and not RELIGIOUS differences. Gandhi used to read both Quran and Gita in his sermons.

And Jinnah used to wine and dine his friends. None of them was a religion bigot like Talibobs of today.

So anyone who wants to turn a political / geo-strategic discourse into religious fanaticism of Jinnah, Nehru, and Gandhi, they all do disservice to the true history.

off course as Muslims we believe in God's will. However we must appreciate the laws and protection afforded by Indian legal system for all the minorities.

To be honest with you, Indians (with all the babri musjid faiasco) did a little better than us Pakistanis when it comes to protecting the minorities.

Is it Allah's will that Pak minorities like Shias, Ahmadis, and Christians live in constant fear? Heck no!

Allah is Rahim for all the religions and it is us who are DIRECTED by Allah to protect the weak and minorities.

Hazrat Amabassador1 sahib, what I talked about ZH was not for these specific videos, my fault, rather his constant blaming of our enemies (Zionists, Hindus etc.) for everything without much looking at our own faults. Now you can continue with your "how low...."

Re: Wake Up Pakistan

okay, enough bs. back to the topic. and a very serious question:

who are these pretty girls who're always in Hazrat Zaid Hamid's shows? and how to do I send my parents to their parents' house?

what a f***king looser this Zaid Hamid is, i meet him last night at NTU, Faisalabad. Young generation which have balls in their heads have nothing better to follow then this piece of crap, who just preaches hate.

this is for you huma !
http://www.paklinks.com/gs/video-gallery/398442-pakistan-2012-a.html

Where is the hate in this video. Sorry but i don’t see it. Proudness of ones self-belonging is not hate. Not a single instince in this video is Zaid Hamid ridiculing any one group, any religion or any race. One of the nuts on this board was comparing Zaid Hamid to Narender Modi, Adolf Hitman Hitler. What a joke. Narender Modi has blood of thousands of muslims on his white stankin loongi.

What is wrong with a person showing patriotism to Pakistan and not to a single party? Perhaps if he put on a black tuxedo with a Yankees hat(instead of that Kufi and Air Jordans and offcourse you can’t forget the clean shave he would be more attractive to some of the people in here.

After 60 years its time Pakistan figure out how to fix itself rather then relying on the damn West, Its time to get away from the Shia vs Sunni, Mohajir vs Punjabi vs Pashtun vs Balochi, Masjid on 10th street vs Masjid on 11street.

This is an excellent video also. Kind of emotional.

Same old Jihadi and Talibanic propaganda under the guise of patriotism.

You say relying on West for 60 years.

One would hope that we had truly relied on the West like Chinese, Indians, S. Koreans, Taiwanese, and Japanese have done.

China (our DEAR FREND) exports MAINLY to the USA, and then invests back in the USA in the tune of $trillions.

And you my friend are marooned on showing pictures of Sara Palin and some naach gaana. What a pity.

You talk about stinking so0-called patriotism, then learn something form Indians.

Indians are 1000 times poorer, just go visit them.,

And yet no body in India makes videos mocking Indian heads of state dining with the US leaders.

You want to see sick children, go visit Bangladesh. Yet nobody talks about lynching their leaders.

You want to see 100 times poorer Muslims, go check out Muslims in India, BDesh, and Indonesia. yet nobody is talking about “taking back BDesh, and wakeup India”

The only thing we hear is how India is shining. This is how one should express their positive patriotism.

What you and Zaid are teaching Pakistanis is the rabid fundamentalism and isolationism that will generate more poverty and more lawlessness.

The same objectives as those of Talibots.

Show me just one country around the globe who was poor and then prospered after its people became bhondi copies of Zaid Hamid. Just one KUNTRY, just one Friggin KUNTRY.

some of them are very very pretty :D

Re: Wake Up Pakistan

Burqaposhx, I agree with you. There was nothing about Pakistan being Islamic state or India being an enemy country in Jinnah's philosophy.

The proponents of Zaid should concentrate more when he says that Islamic civilization saw its height when honesty, justice and education were the most important aspects of life. They were not successful just because they carried out Islamic rituals, but because they were humanists and cared for each segment of society including minorities.

burqa, to me genocide of innocents who have nothing to do with war is same as genocide of the believers and i feel compelled to ask you:

Were those bare handed muslims who, as per you, comitted genocide in india looked the same as the ‘muslims’ seen in the following video link? (Watch from 7.52 mins onwards)

May I ask which Christians & shias in Pakistan have you seen living under constant fear? Ahmadis, yes but shias & christians under fear? Have you really been to Pakistan?

I think it might be you who is ignorant about this fact because you don’t give a rat’s a** about Christians in Pakistan or any other minority for that matter.

Persecuted Countries: Pakistan - Persecution.org - International Christian Concern

I tried to opent the link but right now the poor net does not allow me to open the page so I’ll try to open it later sometime. But Im suprised with you assumption about me… not giving a rat’s *** about minorities of Pakistan?

Part of my family is shia & part is christian.

I recently finished a course at a local college which had more Christian & agha khani students than muslims.

I have gone around places and TALKED to Christians. Asked them if those stories we keep hearing about the minorities in Pakistan. You know what they told me? They said, “We have everything we could wish for in this country. We could not have asked for more.”

But I agree these were well settled Christians I talked to who came from good families. Maybe I should go to more unprivileged areas to know you’re talking about… But then how many muslims from the unpriviliged areas would have anything nice to say? And I guess that’s exactly what ZH’s mission is? To provide justice & fairness to all??? Why is that wrong?

Nice hope thanks for sharing

Re: Wake Up Pakistan

There is absolutely nothing wrong with evoking patriotism in a country that has been attacked both externally and internally. I would rather take someone who wants us to bring out the best within us, for the cause of Pakistan, instead of reading some of the jokers on this thread.

off course who can argue about the "bring out the best within us".

We just should be mindful that we do not allow the reincarnation of Hitler or Saddam, Or worse Mullah Omer to bring out the best in Pak.

Because we may have "our best brought out" for few years, followed by our country's innards brought out (or spilled out) on the sidewalks of the world.

That's all.

Do you really see Hitler, Saddam, or Mullah Omar in this video?

Pakistan's ideology is partly Islamic, partly based on indigenous rights, and partly based on a shared history. Pakistan should strive to be a modern Islamic state guided on the principles of Islam with the flexibility to be a global player. Think Moorish Spain.

Again, I would rather have someone stand up for Pakistan and it's glorious past, and the untapped potential rather than have people cry about it's weaknesses. I don't know ZH, but if he is anything like this in his other speeches, then good on him.

Re: Wake Up Pakistan

^ "Pakistan and it's glorious past" - what glorious past are you exactly refering to?

Re: Wake Up Pakistan

On the title (of thread and video)....Wake up from what?

The term "wake up from something" is used to explain something different needs to be done.

For 60+ years you have followed the path of a certain flavor militaristic politics (which killed any emergence of civilian leadership), a certain flavor of islamic ideology in governance (that created or atleast could not prevent suicide bombers in quantity) and a certain set of mujahideenist terror tactic as forign policy. So to wake up from these would be a good thing.

But the Zahid Hamid type of wake up calls simply try to 'wake you up' to take you right back to the same exact set of malaise!

So how do you accept there is any difference? It is like a messiah that says "ye people! come with me! I will deliver you from your current poverty to your current poverty"

Why did you not include OBL among those names? I think he was / is the biggest menace the muslim world including Pakistan ever had because it is clear to see that Pakistan has sufferred the most by his 'ambition' & efforts to break up america. And india & UAE have gained the most out of all of this drama.

india is happy because they know UAE, being a small country, cannot compete with or stop them from becoming the next super power & that Pakistan - the only threat to india for becoming a super power is on the verge of breaking up. UAE & its' natives have gone nuts out of pride & vanity because they cannot believe they have all the high-rise buildings, bars, gamble, prostitute houses & much more they dreamt of being around right in the country & they do not have to go spend their money in the bad, bad 'evil' west to enjoy all those things. Exactly as OBL dreamt of out of his own inferiority complex. He did manage to provide all those 'luxuries' of las vegas to arabs but completely missed to see that US was a huge land of opportunity for all kinds of people from all around the world without any discrimination INCLUDING ARABS. Whereas his the 'development' of UAE has only RAISED the arrogance, rudeness, greed, selfishness, racism & megalomania & vanity of its' natives to such an alarming rate. OBL was able to fulfil his desires by making the little arab land what we see as 'new dubai'. But it came at the expense of peace & good humanity, countless innocents' lives which were lost in the process. And Pakistan & Pakistanis were effected by his sins THE MOST which is why I despise him more than anything. Our stupid, uneducated & naiive people were exploited by him to fulfil his mission. It was too easy for him to brainwash them. He made Pakistanis suffer the most not only by his own people but also by the people he wants to destroy.

Reality check:

“Two [Pakistani soldiers] went into the room that had been built for the bridal couple. The others stayed behind with the family, one of them covering them with his gun. They heard a barked order, and the bridegroom’s voice protesting. Then there was silence until the bride screamed. Then there was silence again, except for some muffled cries that soon subsided. In a few minutes one of the soldiers came out, his uniform in disarray. He grinned to his companions. Another soldier took his place in the extra room. And so on, until all the six had raped the belle of the village. Then all six left, hurriedly. The father found his daughter lying on the string cot unconscious and bleeding. Her husband was crouched on the floor, kneeling over his vomit. (Quoted in Brownmiller, Against Our Will, p. 82.)”

““Rape in Bangladesh had hardly been restricted to beauty,” Brownmiller writes. “Girls of eight and grandmothers of seventy-five had been sexually assaulted … Pakistani soldiers had not only violated Bengali women on the spot; they abducted tens of hundreds and held them by force in their military barracks for nightly use.” Some women may have been raped as many as eighty times in a night (Brownmiller, p. 83). How many died from this atrocious treatment, and how many more women were murdered as part of the generalized campaign of destruction and slaughter, can only be guessed at.”

“The human death toll over only 267 days was incredible. Just to give for five out of the eighteen districts some incomplete statistics published in Bangladesh newspapers or by an Inquiry Committee, the Pakistani army killed 100,000 Bengalis in Dacca, 150,000 in Khulna, 75,000 in Jessore, 95,000 in Comilla, and 100,000 in Chittagong. For eighteen districts the total is 1,247,000 killed. This was an incomplete toll, and to this day no one really knows the final toll. Some estimates of the democide [Rummel’s “death by government”] are much lower — one is of 300,000 dead — but most range from 1 million to 3 million. … The Pakistani army and allied paramilitary groups killed about one out of every sixty-one people in Pakistan overall; one out of every twenty-five Bengalis, Hindus, and others in East Pakistan. If the rate of killing for all of Pakistan is annualized over the years the Yahya martial law regime was in power (March 1969 to December 1971), then this one regime was more lethal than that of the Soviet Union, China under the communists, or Japan under the military (even through World War II). (Rummel, Death By Government, p. 331.)”

“[INDENT]“ …..Some army officer raided the Rokeya Hall, the girls’ hostel of Dacca University, on October 7, 1971. Accompanied by five soldiers, Major Aslam had first visited the hostel on October 3, and asked the lady superintendent to supply some girls who could sing and dance at a function to be held in Tejgaon Cantonment. The superintendent told him that most of the girls had left the hostel after the disturbances and only 40 students were residing but as a superintendent of a girls’ hostel she should not allow them to go to the cantonment for this purpose. Dissatisfied, Major Aslam went away. Soon after the superintendent informed a higher army officer in the cantonment, over the telephone, of the Major’ s mission.
However, on October 7, at about 8 p.m. Major Aslam and his men raided the hostel. The soldiers broke open the doors, dragged the girls out and stripped them before raping and torturing them in front of the helpless superintendent. The entire thing was done so, openly, without any provocation, that even the Karachi-based newspaper, Dawn, had to publish the story, violating censorship by the military authorities. In seven days after liberation about 300 girls were recovered from different places around Dacca where they had been taken away and kept confined by the Pakistani army men. On December 26, altogether 55 emaciated and half-dead girls on the verge of mental derangement were recovered by the Red Cross with the help of the Mukti Bahini and the allied forces from various hideouts of the Pakistani army in Narayanganj, Dacca Cantonment and other small towns on the periphery of Dacca city.”
"“I came out and saw the army. They wanted to go inside. I put my hands up like this and said there was no one inside. They flung me away into the yard and dragged my husband and son outside. They shot them both right there, there. They killed every male in the village, every male. When the army was gone, there was not a single man left to bury the dead. We had to drag the bodies ourselves and bury them.”

Re: Wake Up Pakistan

Ambassador1: 'Google' and read the International newspapers & magazines dated March to December 1971.
You will be ashamed to learn that Pakistani army did indeed rape & murder the Bengali people.

Your remarks that 'Bombay terrorists' were Indians - shows that either you are very naive or in denial. Even the government of Pakistan has accepted they were Pakistanis.
