hmm where to start.. well since the beginning of 2004 things have been kinda bumpy for me.. i have everything yet i have nothing.. that sorta feeling comes to me every morning.. sigh
You see.. i am the kind of guy that, according to my good friend, can go through alot yet still hope for the best..
I kinda agree with it but then what the hell am i suppose to do when i get into trouble.. i mean problems in life.. scream? yell? cry? none of that is going to help me so i just take the alternate route.. i sit quietly and smile and hope for a better tommorow.. (which is yet to come)
I have taken up a lot of things in my life i want to be something.. i want to do something.. extra .. not just going to university and end up with a degree and then doing job for the rest of my life.. although my parents would love to see that happen..
I constantly try different projects give ideas to companies and try to get their contracts .. sigh but everyone keeps on telling me that its not a good idea to do such a thing at this age (i am 21) “Get some experience and then try to do your own business” .. sigh
Anyone here have suggestions/experiences on how to deal with all this …

It sounds like you are an entrepreneur in some sense and don't want to take the typical path. I''m sure for parents it seems like a safe and stable life to just work and do the same thing everyday. But there is also personal fulfillment. I believe you CAN work and live for something you love. It's a matter of determination and courage. It takes risk and belief in yourself. I don't think it's an issue of age. You should be striving right now at 21. Work hard and get out in the world. Now when you're 41 and your dreams haven't come true, then that's another story. I wish you luck in trying to create a fulfilling life.

anyways.. yes i like to be an entrepreneur but i wouldn’t say that i am one.. no one in my family has done their own business they always worked and i kinda feel that its boring to do the same thing over and over again and again..
The growth level in software industry is really low.. too much competition and stuff so i dont’ imagine myself becoming a project manager anytime before 35 and with current economic trends its really hard to stick with one job for more than 5 years (or that’s how i feel) so this bugs me alot.. part of the reason why i want to do something different..

Ansoon: have you considered going for a management degree? Im sure it will help your project management creds and at the very least it will provide some change to your present stasis. Thats what I have planned atleast :) . you're still very young and going for the big game too soon might be too risky at this point.
