Dont understand the motive though. Who would attack a small town, the only significance being a border town.

I dont think it was about small town, these perpetrators want to create maximum damage and a crowd like the one gathered at the closing ceremony at Wagha provided best opportunity. apparently he was carrying 25 KGs of explosives

I have personally witnessed this parade quite a few times. Its absolutely jam packed during the parade. What can one say about the attack killing innocents and that too in front of your enemies.

Yes I know. If they have struck Wagah they could have easily carried this activity elsewhere (with same or even worse results). The selection of target has been very careful and symbolic, mostly to demoralize Pakistan army (in front of their enemies). Keeping in mind that in recent times our Eastern borders have been a bit unstable too.

According to Dr Shahid Masood Jundullah has taken the responsibility for the same. If true this a sectarian organization allied with LEJ and other similar outfits. The military/government somehow avoids taking on them directly as most are based in Punjab.
