Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
Looks soo awesome!!! If not mistaken I saw ayesha khan in between. Good to see her.
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
Holla!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
The LOOK is awesome! Very very slick! Hope there is a good story to it as well and not just "dishum dishum" as the trailer shows.
Also here is hoping Shaan doesn't bad mouth Bilal Lashari after winning the Lux Awards like he did the ShoMan :p Wish he had taken someone else but it's understandable that you need a big movie star to bring in the crowds.

I am guessing either Eid or maybe summer before Ramadan.
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
Looks good but where is the Veena Malik item number ?
[Forget that I asked that question.]
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
I would have thought that this film would have been scrapped after OBL was captured in Pakistan in broad daylight in front of the whole world and beyond a shadow of a doubt.
BTW, apparently, Rehman Malik is making a cameo appearance as himself.
That should increase the star value of the film quite a bit. Wouldn't you say ? :)
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
I really hope this movie isn't lollywood-bollywood'ish; I caught a glimpse of a dance scene??
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer

Shan is talented star, who also proved his abilities when given chances. His bad perception is only due to his miscasting as second Sultan Rahi for Gujjar movies lovers. Besides Khuda ke liye (as stated by Nomi), he also performed nicely in commercial movies like Tere Pyar main, Nikah, Ghoonghat, Sangam, etc.
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer

His real name is **Armaghan Shahid **son of (late) director Riaz Shahid.
I think Shaan and Ali Azmat(???) are there to give the film a star-studded status. One thing that annoys me is the amount of singers/musicians turning towards acting. Some have made the transition very successfully e.g. Ali Zafar and Fawad Khan, but others are fast becoming jack of all trades (master of none).
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
Wow...this looks so impressive. The trailer is so nicely done.
I didn't understand Atif Aslam's role in Bol, but I feel Ali Azmat has bit of personality and screen presence to give acting a go, he'd make a very good bad guy. lol
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
Another media project sponsored by the Pakistan Army to gloss over their brutalities in Baluchistan and show them as much needed saviors of 'Taliban ridden' Pakistan. YAWWWWWWNNNNNNNN.
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
I LIKEEE. I don't watch Paki movies but movies like bol, Waar and khuda ke liye i would watch.

"I just want to say that how humbled I am for all the support that you all have extended for our work. I thank you all from the very bottom of my heart and I thank you all on behalf of my Team WAAR. There are two things I would like to clear, which have been raised through some of the comments that I have read. No. 1: ISPR or Pakistan Armed Forces have not contributed a single penny for this project, this project was entirely funded from my own pocket and sources. The film however highlights all the sacrifices that our Armed Forces, police and other Law enforcement agencies have rendered in this war which have never been acknowledged by the world. With this film I wanted to show the world, what we are truly made off, how we fight using our very limited resources, how each and every true Pakistani holds his and her head high under fire and have capacity and capability of showing unparalleled grace under pressure. So please know this even if I had to sell my soul to make the world see my country the way I see it, a country the foundations of which has the blood of my own family in them, I would do it every day of the week and twice on sunday, In short I wanted to say I love my country and this is how I am contributing to its future. No.2: Be very, very proud of the fact that, the entire production is done by Pakistanis not even a single foreigner was involved in any aspect of the production of the feature. We had people from Hollywood who did come here and trained most of the team and in this regard it would be unfair if I do not acknowledge the contribution of Mr. Luke Rocheleau (thanks luke). Warner Brothers and any other studios shall only be involved at the distribution stage and some post production shall be done there. So its not a WB film (yet) its a Mindworks Production and MindWorks is entirely a Pakistani Company and if you cut any one in this company they will all bleed Pakistani Flag Green. Take care of your selves and this beautiful and wonderful country of ours, have a great 2012. Yours truly. Hassan Waqas Rana (Executive Producer/Writer/Action Director)"
Re: Waar (2012) Trailer
A Sunehray Din post 9/11? I'm so done with these "acknowledging the sacrifices" projects. Why can't we all just get to work and build Pakistan rather than leveraging our positions via useless film projects?
