So VW has decided to turn off after-work email delivery to some of their BB users. In an age when instant communication is vital, I wonder how many other companies will follow and also implement a similar policy.

Well, ATOS has banned all internal emails. They have implemented a purely IM based system throughout. How cool is that?!

You left out the most material part, this is in Blurmany (Germany with blurred images :p).
Second, this is not the 60’s where u leave the office and it ceases to exist for the employee. I have a cousin in Canada who works for a food distributor and he manually disconnects everything so he doesn’t get bothered. I don’t know if that’s something I’d ever do.
