Add to it that the so-called inappropriate wear is all over, while simpler innocent ones are difficult to find in the stores. The other day, me and my wife, spent a lot of time in Macy’s trying to find some tops for our daughter. Couldn’t find one which we liked. Sure if someone wants their six-year old to wear a T, which proudly proclaims “bit*h”, go right ahead, but at least have some normal wear left for others who don’t. Whatever happened to variety and choice?

You couldn;t find decent stuff at Macy’s? Wow thats weird or maybe u didn;t look hard enough I didn;t think they even carried the ‘inappropriate’ stuff for kids.

I recently went shopping for kiddie clothes, I dint see much vulgarity. The stuff that was written on girls’ t-shirts ranging 7-13 was American cutie, or american cowgirl, or all american sweetheart, or just cutie and then there are a lot of t’s with nothing written on em.

Sara, i think i remember u saying that u live in the Bronx or something. So i guess it isnt surprising to see some ppl wearing such clothing. I am not tryna stereotype but I personally havent read a single t-shirt, atleast not a female one, that said something SO vulgar.

Kiddie fashion has been out of whack for the past few years. Then again, maybe it's us who are becoming increasingly conservative? Personally, I don't like to see little girls wearing knee high boots with tank tops and a mini skirt or even those low rise pants with their thong showing. I'm talking about youngsters, 8-12 year old girls. I understand teens going through these phases where they dress like that ... but not little girls. I do find it disturbing cause i'm seeing more and more of it.

I agree. Some of the lil girlies do wear weird clothes but then they dont go out and buy those clothes for themselves. Unless you’re Paris Hilton, you’re not gonna have CC when you are eight. Also, alot of these kiddies are exposed to too many of these idiotic teen idols these days. Like Oooohhh what did lindsay Lohan or Paris hilton wear, i wanna wear that too.

Tank tops aren't a problem ... but when combined with a mini skirt and knee high boots on an 8 year old ... it is a problem. Well, the girl's mother was with her so I guess it wasn't a problem for her.

Mehnaz - well yeah it all comes down to what parents find appropriate and inappropriate for their kids these days. Or their lack of making a decision upon what is appropiate/inappropriate and then their girls end up looking like mini-hoes.

Porn and rap are definitely not to blame here. It's the parents of those young children who are to blame, given that they know what their kids are wearing. Regardless, most kids will grow out of that phase. There is a desensitizing nature to all of this, but it's really not a big deal, and nothing to get "shocked" about.

not necessarily Maddy. It has become a fad of sorts just like it was cool to wear Levi’s way back when. Half the people won’t even know what the writing on their shirt means!

Lolz only some illiterate FOB (desi, albo, kala, spanish etc) wud not know what that means.. you cant wear a shirt like “suck my d*ck” and not know what i tmeans
