Re: Vulgarity
not necessarily Maddy. It has become a fad of sorts just like it was cool to wear Levi’s way back when. Half the people won’t even know what the writing on their shirt means!
Re: Vulgarity
I think Britney Spears started this new 'trend'. It's a cheap trend. Good job we don't have to follow it. :p
Re: Vulgarity
Actually I kinda agree with Maddy, a decent kid wouldn;t feel the need to wear such clothes even to fit in.
Ashtray no need for a smilie, kaan pakkar ke murgha ban jao…apnay kaan.
p.s. I still don;t know about the levi thing :blonde: pray tell ruxy ![]()

back to topic…its all cool to be cool, wear cool, behave cool but look like a fool. :k:
Re: Vulgarity
All this crap is leading to desensitization. Eventually the human race will deteriorate to nothing better than animals.
Re: Vulgarity
I agree with MS, it's mostly trashy people who wear such items or those who have little to offer intellectually or creatively and they seek these shirts out as a way to grab attention.
Re: Vulgarity
Which demographic is this? Teenagers?
If it’s teenagers, then they’ll grow out of it. It’s not the end of the world – teenagers do what they do best: Shock adults.
Re: Vulgarity
Someone showed me a picture of a 11 year old girl wearing a shirt saying 'Pop my...' with pictures of cherries below that.
I dont think the girl really knew what it meant i guess. Or perhaps her parents didnt....or just didnt know.
Wallah..times are wierd indeed.
Re: Vulgarity
We are already there Muzna. People dont realize how desensitized we are....People dont care anymore. Luxury, lust, material wealth is the only thing that matters..and glitter is the only thing that attracts
Re: Vulgarity
Yes, it’s true. Teenagers love to shock adults.
But let’s think back…what were they shocking adults with 50 years ago? 100 years ago?
Don’t you think that the calibre and category is changing? Are we not becoming more and more tolerant?
Re: Vulgarity
Its highly retarted but some people do not infact read what their t-shirt says...out of those who do some don't understand it and some couldn't care less..some want to propagate the message, it being a free world - and some just like the fit or something.
I guess it's not as much about what they wear on their clothes, but that the rest are not given an option to avoid it if they wish to.
Re: Vulgarity
It's interesting that in so many societies you have those that look with scorn at sexual content (in vulgar forms and not) and worry about the future yet these same people rarely bat an eye at the violent images that the society is being exposed to.

It's all relative. Teenagers' ammo is not alien to the adults who also live and breathe in the same society. No need to time travel back 50 or 100 years ago, just take one of those "offensive" t-shirts to some little town in Wana and ask the "adults" there what they think. They'd probably laugh their heads off and call the wearer stupid. "Shock" out of context is stupidity or worse, irrelevant.
People, stop being so easily shocked.
Re: Vulgarity
LI,
I am with Muzna on this one.
If i see an 11-year old wearing daisy dukes with "future MILF" written across her bum, I can't help being anything but shocked. FCUK!!:)
Re: Vulgarity
Peace, i'm not xactly sure.. i dont think shirts wit the slogan I had above would be allowed in high schools n stuff (i'm in college so its a diff case) but hey you're right, its not fair that religion is supressed (supposedly) while vulgarity is "okay".
In a democratic society, you can't force one to accept whatever is sorta universal. vulgarity might be religion for some- I guess it is safe for teens to allow have crude jokes written on their T-shirts. Imagine if they had the danish cartoon on their T-shirt or something.
Re: Vulgarity
You would? Dang it, man! :D
My reaction would be different; I'd say something like, "oh look, the tart has lofty aspirations, how sweet :) ". :D
Re: Vulgarity
na dope sudhray ga aur na tum, LI.
Re: Vulgarity
Add to it that the so-called inappropriate wear is all over, while simpler innocent ones are difficult to find in the stores. The other day, me and my wife, spent a lot of time in Macy's trying to find some tops for our daughter. Couldn't find one which we liked. Sure if someone wants their six-year old to wear a T, which proudly proclaims "bit*h", go right ahead, but at least have some normal wear left for others who don't. Whatever happened to variety and choice?
