I would make one change and bring Faisal instead of Rana. We have six bowlers to bowl 50 overs. Go for it.

Afridi should open...and Yasir in for Rao...he doesn't have the ability of picking up wickets, he is a slow Sami.

s.a will be tough to beat .they are not no 2 for nothing.they bat deep and have good all rounders.afridi and rana are likely to be dropped and replaced by iqbal and arafat.

SA will betoughto beat. We need two changes, Faisal and Yasir in, Afridi and Rana out. If both of them play Pakistan’s chances of winning are slim.

The only problem i see is not in selecting the right eleven but the extra bounce guys like Nel and Pollock will extract from the surface if it's anything like the one we payed yesterday on.
Surely Afridi + Rana aren't doing anything special to earn a spot but i don't see the that as a solution. We've seen in NZ match how uncomfortable our batsmen against short-pitched and well directed stuff were (Hafeez, Yousuf, Malik ) even after playing themselve in.
To me it looked like they were hoping to stay in and somehow survive or even try for an agricultural hoik here and there to release some pressure.
Woolmer by should've taught them some sort of technique how to encounter such bowling and by not only attempting to survive but try to dominate coz everyone knows too well what awaits us over the southern summer in SAF

it seems from younis's post match statement that they won't drop Afridi but Rana may be dropped for yair arafat, farhat will play the entire tournament based on his solo 50
